And while this is just a theory, I wager Donovan's head scars might have come from attempting to give himself mind reading powers, I'll guess that he is someone who puts his money where his mouth is, and that he put his own body on the line for his own ideals. That or it's a battle scar from the second war or he simple is brainwashed in some way. Regardless I agree that Garden will probably be the big bad.

Millie doesn't have the gentle understanding that Loid does, nor does Hemlock have an Anya. Yor is also inherently altruistic and Hemlock is not.Assuming Garden is going to be a problem for the Forgers, they have to have people other than Shopkeeper that will fight for them.
