I feel like the extra reservoir opening thing would have worked better if they had leaned more into her rapid recharge before this, there were the hints of having a lot of mana but they were never clear about it being caused by rapid recharge, make some good use of that before upgrading from it.maybe the seals breaking will be a temporary thing for now though and they can work with the recharge for a while still

Then we can have the bazooka upgrade for a later fight once she and the readers are more acclimated to the idea that she's sitting on massive reserves. Not that I think the chapter is bad, but this feels like pushing a bit too far in making Kumugi relevant. My hope is that to counterbalance this new reveal, the 2nd reservoir is depleted so that Kumugi can't rely on it until she gains more mastery in magic as a proper witch. I think not being able to control her output is a reasonable assumption to make given the past chapters and she'll need to learn that not every shot needs to be a noisy cricket giga blast. I do trust Nishi though, her work on Iruma-kun shows me she can handle rushed developments well enough.
