Chapter 1: The Last Battle of a Nation Now Lost>What is it?Ongoing manga written and storyboarded by Satoshi Mizukami and illustrated by newcomer Seto Ichiri>What's it about?Climax Necromancy>How much is translated?Nine chapters have been translated by /a/nons and the first three out of four volumes by Emaqi. I'll post the human translations until I run out then Emaqi, we'll have a fun couple of weeks together I hope
>>291563588Oh shit I didn't realize this got an official translation, neat.
>>291564009An undisclosed amount of MTL going on with that but at least someone is paid to be responsible for it, and I think it's better than the Crunchyroll Spirit Circle scans anyway
>>2915635882hu looking ass
>>291564590There aren't any boys in 2hu
>>291564617I'm sure there are plenty who cosplay it though.
>>291563650This page is funny the way it's fucking with you but I really have isekai that's a parody of isekai fatigue at this point. There's only so many ways you can make fun of a formula mocked for being stale before you saturate the parody space too. You could just tell a good story without any of it, you know? This still looks nice both art and plot wise and I'm interested based on the author but man, I hope the fad dies down a little.
>>291564803It's the company that trucked her sister
Oh, there are translations somewhere now. I remember it getting uploaded to mangadex but stopped a long time ago.
>>291563588So is Mizukami dead? What's happening with Solte?
>>291565405In january he said it was on break because he was on parental leave, I can't be bothered to dig through his twitter feed to find out if he's back at it.
>>291565405>>291565497Actually I'm stupid and forgot you can just look at it on magcomi, it's chugging along.
>>291565586I guess he's owed a loose schedule since he sprinted on three series at once for so long
>>291563588>Satoshi MizukamiI just want official translations for his biography>>291564803>I hope the fad dies down a little.Hell no too many masterpiece are created thanks to the concept
>>291567704>I just want official translations for his biographyHe doesn't seem to have had an especially interesting life but he does seem to be a very interesting guy to talk to.
>>291568283We already have half the stuff translatedhttps://mangadex.org/title/e3643db9-0cac-41c0-a071-946f678f0702
>>291563588I still asking if the Planet With Volumes have extra content, we only got translations for the chapters
>>291568777Oh neat, an Isekai Essay sequel
>>291569743>Oh neat, an Isekai Essay sequelThat is called Solte
>>291563588You might wanna dump the storyboards from Mizukami too that are included in one of the later chapter's rips. It's interesting to compare what he laid out and what his ex-assistant filled in from there.
Eh, seems sort of run of the mill so far
>>291563966Thank you for posting, OP.
>>291571643I was planning on those at the end of the volume but I guess I could keep the thread alive with them
>>291563966>how to defeat by sex
>>291576722Thank you for sharing, anon!
>>291564803I don't mind that sequence, I think it's more there to establish Ichika's circumstances and character before she gets isekai'd. If anything it stands out to me cause like 99% of isekai try to skim through this shit as fast as possible since the narrative barely gives a shit about what kind of person the protag was before they ended up in some cool fantasy world.
>>291578756Mizukami is always interested in the going back home part, he wants to see every aspect of the escapism
>>291580258He's definitely consistent about that, solid chance at least 1 part of this story's ending involves Ichika giving up her powers and going back to her world.
>>291581723After learning an important lesson about Ikiru
>>291563588Oh, I greatly enjoyed Biscuit Hammer and LOVED Spirit Circle. Not an isekai fan in general, but I'm down for seeing how this attempt works.
>>291581854There'll be a post timeskip epilogue where we see an older and wiser Ichika think about the lessons she learned during her adventure.
>>291567704>too many masterpiecename five
>>291563966Thanks for posting, always nice to read Mizukami
>>291578756This is the level of reading comprehension isekaifags have.
>>291563588>watergod new mangaFuck yes.I dropped Solte halfway, is it over?
>>291563899Is the cute nun a trap?
>>291584470>>291565586
So... is the whole spirit circle anime real, any info on the studio or do i live in fear they pass the job to biscuit hammer team
Chapter 2: At The Camp
And that's the chapter. Next time, the tedium of isekai carriage travel.
And a word from your /a/non, Emaqi translations just noted the pun
>>291586164I am suddenly reminded of the legendary Sir Humphrey.https://youtu.be/zcsCqwVk6ow
>>291583225>I enjoyed my adventures but that time is past and I now enjoy my domestic life with my circle of friends, some of whom were on that adventure with meGets me every time but especially in that flash forward in SY
>>291586396Those epilogues are always so satisfying to see from him. I was kinda disappointed Spirit Circle didn't have them as much as I like that manga
>>291563740Reminds me of Soul Eater's Eibon.
>>291563921Rider Kick!
>>291563946It is good for my heart to see these poses
>>291587337Spirit Circle was the Epilogue to all his other series. Like Jojo Part 6
>>291588554I thought that was End of Ginga Thunder
>>291588611Should we do Tanpenshuu after this or catch up on Solte? Have we ever done Solte storytime?
>>291563588Thanks OP
>>291588554Ya know I never thought of it like that>>291588843I'm leaning Solte personally. Though I won't complain about Tanpenshuu cause Walking the Void is that good.
Climax Necrobump
>>291586126So the crossdressing boy wants to secretly kill the isekai lady he summoned because the first thing she did was something necromancer like? Like that's going to be the story's conflict for a bit? This is... quite a poor plot. Hoping this gets better.
>>291586164Thank you for posting.
>>291589802Some of the Tanpenshuu stories would have been incredible long series, he's just busting with ideas
>>291595303>would have beenThey didn't make it?
>>291596622We just got the tip of the iceberg on the Ginga Thunder Saga
>>291586144Kinda surprised a 15-year-old's uniform fit on her
>>291598722Her sister would have been 7 feet tall if she lived
>>291597275So he never expanded on that?
>>291600869He had a few Shambala stories in Tanpenshuu IIRC (I read them out of order for some reason) but never chained them together into an epic where anyone has an adventure and returns home
>>291601353Based on the latest Solte chapers, they just might show up too. The twist about their world is quite something.
>>291603082>Anima and Animus were on Shambala>It was built by the Mausoleum Builders of SC
>>291601353>>291603082>>291603698This shouldn't surprise you, a lot of his works are connected in some way
>>291603983They're also connected to real life, many of these stories actually happened
>>291603998>many of these stories actually happenedThe giant robo? >>291597275 In real life? Where!?
>>291604036Space
>>291603998RIP Bucket
Chapter 3: The Goddess' Relations
Fin. Is "The True Source Of Power Comes From Enjoying The Fates That You Choose" the most Mizukami sentence possible?
>>291601353Tanpenshuu was a set of one shot collections, so it makes sense for the things in them to be loosely connected rather than chained together more solidly.
>>291605296I don't know if he meant it as one shots or if they didn't take off, he's done a few short series that feel axed
>>291605135THEY'RE POSING
>>291604989Wife
>>291605359Honestly, I would be too. I would probably get chunnier by the day if I knew these people would take me seriously.
I like the designs. Wraith especially, the simplicity highlights the details.
>>291605231Thank you for posting.
>>291605351>he's done a few short series that feel axedI don't think he has a single axe in his catalogue
>>291605351I would bet he keeps ideas that he either doesn't think would work for serialized publishing or were rejected for serialization in mind to use for his one shots or short runs, though I think he does less of them these days. One shots were the thing that really got him in the door and got publishers and editors to appreciate him since they were often able to just call him up, tell him they have X amount of pages left over after the serialized stuff was in for the magazine and need a one shot for to fill those empty pages, and have him keep to the page count and tell stories that readers liked. Then he does a good job of making some amount of connection between things for people who have read his other one shots and serialized works, for example Sanjin Sadou and all the Monster Town one shots then later Sengoku Youko as a prequel to those or with Girl In The Iron Mask being the same setting as Biscuit Hammer. If it wasn't done well it would feel kinda shit, but since he does it really well it is actually a lot of fun as a fan to be able to find connections and references between everything.
>>291564857That's about what I was guessing so far.
bump for more readers
>>291610984Three chapters is respectable for a thread I think, it feels shorter because of the spreads
