Chapter 23In China, Shima had been having a rough go of things as anti-Japanese online sentiment had stirred people up into attacking shops with Hatsushiba's products. It also lead to strike at one of their factories though Shima and his new secretary Xie Mengyuan were able to negotiate an end to it. But a later strike at a different factory over wages needed the intervention of a government official to deal with but things were still tense. Hatsushiba was also taking part in a government initiative called Cool Biz to try and mitigate emissions, as part of an effort to combat climate change, by having businesses not run the air as much during summer but consequently allow for more casual dress. There was a fashion show in Aichi with business leaders to try and promote during which Mangame started a relationship with Xie.In order to protect his neighbor Tu Zilei from her brother Shangyong, Shima had offered to let her stay in his condo as her brother was in debt to the mob and shaking her down for money. When Mangame came by to pray at the altar of his deceased lover, Shangyong saw it and attempted to blackmail him thinking that his sister was Mangame's mistress. Mangame offered to pay off his debt in exchange for him leaving the group and helping out at Zilei's place while Mangame looked into a lawyer to help with his immigration status. But Shangyong was screwing up as he had another vice: he was a drug addict.
That's it for today. Next time, Hatsushiba learns some startling information about the anti-Japan protests.

>>291582579One of the things with getting old and also putting out more frequent chapters. There's plenty of instances in the last few volumes where you can tell things are traced from photos, especialy images like groups of factory workers.

Is it just me or are these shima volumes coming quicker now?
>japs acting like the chinese are more physically asian then them once again
>>291588384Pretty sure the TL has said these are easier since the chapters are shorter and the volumes have a few less chapters so there's less work to do compared to earlier stuff even if it's still a kind of dense series.

Chapter 24
I find it kind of funny that the Japanese PM has to be a knockoff Koizumi but for China it's just straight up Hu Jintao instead of a fictional character.
That's all for today. Next time, Zilei is still having issues with her brother.
>>291601654thanks op. imagine thinking gorbachev was a major stateman.
>>291602002Why wouldn't you think that? He's objectively one of the most important state leaders of the second half of the 20th century unless you're a Russian nationalist or something.
>>291601525the real PM was Koizumi Junichiro if this is 2005
>>291601561I suppose they weren't afraid old Hu would sue them.
>>291602503i'm sure allowing the collapse of your own country is NOT something a major statesman should aspire to, last time i checked.

>>291602882The real problem was Yeltsin pushing him out so he could take power but being a useless drunk who just sat around while the oligarchs stripmined the country.
