>this is considered a generational masterpiece by modern yurifags

This web novel has almost 1 million words yet 90% of the content is two girls talking in a room, sometimes biting each other, and other times into cheesecakes.
>>
>>291589550
Nobody cares.
>>
>>291589559
You cared enough to reply.
>>
because the whole "muh straightest porn!!" excuse is a lie, these are extremely effeminate men who are actually just interested in girl gossip and wish they were women so they could be accepted into such things
>>

Lol sure fag

>uh straightest porn!!
What? Are you not seeing the same OP? What about it is "girl gossip" rather than fan service?

That one has similar problems!

Duh? 95% of yuri is insanely dull, and most of its value is the fan art it produces.
Yuri is the gacha of animanga.
>>
>>291589725
Dull isn't exactly my criticism here.

Extremely apt
>>
>yuri is so dull and boring!
>proceeds to a read a romcom where the the mc doesn't kiss or fuck the girl until the the 700th chapter (and most of it is off-screen)
>meanwhile, in chapter one (1) of yuri:

That was the only important part, not what I actually made her do. So I’d never given her any really order-y orders, like this one. But I wasn’t in the mood to give her a trivial task today.

“…All right.”

Though it took her a moment to answer, she did, contrary to my expectations, accept the order. There wasn’t any emotion at all in her voice, but she put her hand on my ankle and heel.

She looked closely at my foot.

A shiver ran down my spine.

Even though I’d given the command myself, it was such an unbelievable sight that I tensed up a little.

Sendai, the popular girl, the teachers’ favorite, was doing the bidding of an ordinary girl with no particular merits, licking my foot like a servant.

Thinking about what was going to happen got me excited.

“Get to it, Sendai,” I said to her when she didn’t move.

The fan heater kept blowing warm air, and Sendai loosened her tie even further, like she was hot. Her blazer lay abandoned a short distance away. The top two buttons of her blouse were undone, revealing her collarbone.

She lifted my foot slightly, and warm air touched the top of it.

Then I felt a soft sensation.

She had brought her tongue to my feet.

“Is that good?” she asked.

“No,” I said firmly when Sendai tried to lift her head immediately, using the back of my foot to lift her chin.

“One lick not enough for you?” Sendai shoved my foot away and glared at me.

“No.”

“So then how long do I have to keep going?”

“Until I’m satisfied.”

“Freak.”

“Your job is to follow this freak’s orders.”

The five thousand yen I’d paid her—

That was the chain that bound her, preventing her from opposing me.

In this room, we upheld that promise, and Sendai did not break it. And so she followed my order.

Yeah this was pretty hot and cute and got me to read volume 1, but then I found out that it's now a dozen volumes later and they still haven't confessed. That's on par with any LN romcom in terms of dragging shit out.
>>
>>291589550
Is it true that male anime characters transition into female anime characters because they think it's easier to get into a yuri relationship with a female anime character instead of a het relationship with a female anime character, in an anime?
>>
>>291590061
You don't get it, chud, it's better because it's... le gay or something. Dunno, het is hetshit o algo.
>>
>>291590052
No argument needed against your word salad.
>>
>>291590061
Sendai realizes fairly early on that she likes Miyagi, the series is more about making Miyagi comfortable with a romantic relationship.

>>291590075
A series where the two parties are doing lewd things with each other but trying to figure out their relationship is infinitely better than a series where the parties are trying to figure out their relationship and not doing any lewd things with each other.
>>
>>291589900
>>proceeds to a read a romcom where the the mc doesn't kiss or fuck the girl until the the 700th chapter (and most of it is off-screen)
Still better than gayshit.
>>

>Sendai realizes fairly early on that she likes Miyagi, the series is more about making Miyagi comfortable with a romantic relationship.
And it took 10 volumes (maybe more) to make that happen?

A post being longer than 200 characters isn't word salad.

>>291590134
Then your criticism isn't yuri is dull and boring; it's that yuri is gay.

>>
>>291593853
I dunno why "wish fullfillment" buzzword has taken off when every single demographic makes one about themselves all the time, but the ones that are directed at and made by straight men are somehow bad, and the others good? Anime, in general, is wish fullfillment from head to toe, and anyone who complains about it are tourists.

>>291593939
Most female yuri authors are straight and the target audience for almost all works aren't lesbians, firstly. Second, the prevailing attitude, even among female fans is something like this, where you are watching from an outsider perspective, rather than imagining yourself as one of the characters.
>>
This is why bait threads need to get banned.
>>
>>291594037
People who hate wish fullfillment are the #1 soldiers of the longhouse.
>What class of men would you expect to be most preoccupied with, and hostile to, the idea of escape? And gave the obvious answer: jailers.
>>
>>291594045
So what? Demographics don't even matter anymore, as both girls and boys consume shounen and shoujo slop respectively at an increasing rate. Sono Bisque for example, is very popular with women even though its regarded as wish fullfillment slop by many. Takagi san is another one.
>>
>>291589550
This book was good for helping learn Jap but damn it takes forever for anything to happen
>>
>>291594109
>so what?

The attitude I described applies to most yuri fans, whether male or female.
>>
>>291594145
And I said that something being a wish fullfillment is a non-argument. The slop you're slurping isn't any better than an average romcom, trust me.
>>
>>291594088
It's ok when women fantasize about rapechads or centaurs with foot long penises but god forbid when straight men want a popular virgin girl love them unconditionally, that will ruffle some feathers for sure.
>>
>>291594109
it's not wish fulfillment when both characters are desirable and have real personalities
>>
>>291591986
Three or four is the norm for the yuri genre; yet for the Summer 2025 season, I’ve sometimes seen as many as eight consecutive threads—even excluding the *Watanare* megathreads. What’s most interesting is that most of them managed to reach their maximum level of engagement.
>>
>>291594309
>yuri is not wish fullfillment
It totally is and none of your points negate that fact.
>>
>>291594309
>a thing can only be a wish fulfillment if only one of the characters are desirable (by whom?) and they have no real personalities
You don't even know the definition of the buzzword you're parroting.

>>
>>291594174
My problem with romcoms isn't the unrealistic premise of some guy (just like me) having an insanely hot 10/10 lust after him. It's in the construction. I want to see him go on dates with her, kiss her, and do other romantic things with her. But most manga romcoms for guys aren't like that and I don't want to spend the effort/energy looking for the small few that are what I want when yuri already exists.
>>
Daily self-insertfag malding
>>
>>291594415
Because any skinship between a boy and a girl would solidify their relationship as a couple, this isn't true when it's between 2 girls (or 2 boys). Romcom authors are also averse to progressing too quickly, but this'll happen to yuri the more popular it becomes.
>>
>>291594406
You shan't run away mid-argument.
>>
>>291594496
The average yuri series, even one continues past the 3rd volume benchmark, usually has the two MCs become a couple (either then focusing on drama or side couples). Even in something like the OP, their relationship as a couple is solidified by the third volume. It's not a story of "will-they-won't-they", but overcoming Miyagi's hang-ups on committed relationships.
>>
>>291594415
Romcoms that last for 2-3 volumes do not have this issue, and since most yuri manga also last about that long, they won't have those issues either. It's the long running ones that like to prolong the story as much as they can with "will it, won't it" nonsense, and even then it's all about execution than anything else.
>>
>>291594660
The issue is that the yuri that do last for more than three volumes don't stretch out the relationship. Green Yuri is the most popular yuri series of all time and it only took three volumes for them to get together romantically and now the story is continuing now that they're in a relationship. You run down the list too: Sasakoi, Watanare, Botan, and Kimishinu, just to name a few popular ones.

This doesn't even count the number of yuri series where the girls are already in a relationship from the start either.
>>
Yuri is for girls... Of course m*n aren't going to like it because there's no m*le to self insert as.

>>291594365
An easy argument against the idea that yuri is the same kind of wish fulfillment is that very few yuri works revolve around the protagonist. Kimishinu from last season is a great example. Even if you want to say that Mimi or Sheena is supposed to be an audience stand-in, how do you explain that there are two side yuri couples?

Even after their partners die, the girls fall for each other rather than falling for any of the MCs.

I came across the ShuuKura manga once, found it really intriguing and interesting and talked about in the yuri thread. They gave me the spoilers and it's basically an eternal status quo like Tenshi, but instead of Amane and Mahiru having sex, it's Miyagi refusing to finally accept their relationship.
>>
>>291595819
The status quo recently broke because Sendai finally confessed to Miyagi.
>>
>>291595819
There is constant character and relationship development, don't take the word of autists as gospel.
