Never heard of Western men who would beg their wives to get some of their own money back. The traditional arrangement would be a shared purse from which the wife can take funds for necessary household expenses, but any major purchases would obviously need the approval of the husband before going through. Not the wife keeping the entire purse behind lock and key and doing with it as she pleases without any oversight. If you want to tell me that Japan has always been a matriarchy, just say so and don't pretend this is somehow a patriarchal arrangement.

I'm glad I caught this. You could legit join any of the N64 Zelda decomp/hacking Discords and I'd be glad to show you how to use C to mod the game, which is especially convenient since the OoT codebase was what I had in mind when bringing up a lot of the stuff I did. Just tell what kind of hack/mod you want to make and I should be able to point out how to go about doing it if you drop an appropriate sign in one of the modding chats. At this point I actually doubt there's much you could want to do with the game that wouldn't be possible.

Anyway, I'm legit just about to do my taxes and account for the craploads of cash I made earlier in the year from silver trades. I'm glad I bought in a few years back so I could play around with that and cash out reasonably close to the peak without risking much from the outset. Glad I've had no need to resort to this desperate leveraged FX stuff.

Everyone gets bogged in the end anon. The purpose of the stock market is to funnel the money from the lower classes to the ruling class. You can't "win" in the long term without the insider trading the rich do. To put it another way: If poors could actually get rich on the stock market through any means other than sheer dumb luck, the poors would not be allowed to use the stock market.
>>

Market edges are real. Just, no one is going to tell you theirs. You have to spend hours digging through the data and doing research. Sometimes some of the information is just out in the open but no one really pays attention to it.
>>
>>291590300
Does it really have to be forex so that she can have some vague sense of revenge at this specific system for leading to her mother's suicide? Can't she gamble in something like futures and cry because a sudden war/disease/hurricane/asteroid from another galaxy news liquidated her entire account?
>>
>>291592628
Meanwhile, the elites are getting richer through insider trading or direct market manipulation.
>>
>>291592645
You keep saying 'elite', like there's a secret illuminati controlling everything. Yes there's insider trading. Yes there's market manipulation. But there's definitely not a monolith that controls everything. They're in competition with each other, which is why there's rules and regulations that everyone has to play around. But yeah usually it's hard to guess what exactly they're doing, however if you happen to discover something then that means you have an edge.

I have an ambitious idea for a full scale hack that's combat focused and, if possible, extends the base mechanics of swordplay based on all the things the game originally took inspiration from. Basically something along the lines of what Indigo is doing with its bosses but not so much in the souls direction, and of course with the other normal stuff you'd expect from a hack in a new overworld.

How the fuck can you go broke trading currencies that are in active use somewhere in the world? It's completely unrealistic that one such currency will suddenly be completely worthless. If a currency drops 10% in value which is already a big drop then you should still have 90% of your money left.

Main problem: You assume that people trade using their own money.
If you expect a gain of 1%, then your own money is not enough to give you adequate payout. Therefore, you bet with other people's money. This makes small changes in stock value highly consequential.

Also, stock gambling has developed advanced methods of losing money. A popular trick is to rent somebody else's stocks, sell them, and then pray that the stock loses value to a sufficient degree that when you buy the stock back, the difference makes up for the rental fee. If the stock rises instead, they may be completely unable to buy it back and be forced to pay massive penalties.

>>291604634
Depends on the type of trader you are. Scalpers only hold intraday positions and are mostly likely too leveraged to hold onto overnight positions (especially during volatile news and random events). Tighter stop losses and take profits, get in and get out. Swing traders hold positions for multiple days and trade higher timeframes (most likely daily and hourly timeframes). Far larger stop losses and far more ambitious take profits but you'd need a large account and only risk 0.5% of your account per trade to avoid blowing it up fast.

Everything she is doing is pure retarded rookie behavior.

The second it went up significantly she should have applied a stop loss and continued to adjust it as it increased.

She got greedy and didn't close the position after a significant gain. Let me get deeper in the weeds.

Seasoned investors consider a 3-6% gain on a position to be a great win. Kurumi's position was up nearly 50% in a single day.

Kurumi took a position at 59x leverage and then slept on it. That is extremely abnormal and retarded. 3x leverage is considered by most experts to be HIGH RISK.

Her goal of getting her account to 5x by the end of the year is also pure fairy tale shit.

She didn't invest in Lean Hogs or SOXL.

Basically she is fucking retarded and if the price saw a real significant move like in the dollars at a time she would have been roping.

But alas, anime industry itself targets teens almost without exception nowadays, so no surprise.

In the end, stock and FX trading boils down to "Doing what everyone else is doing, but do it BEFORE everyone else".

This does mean, of course, by the time you see everyone piling into an investment, it is already too late to make big money.

>hack that's combat focused and, if possible, extends the base mechanics of swordplay based on all the things the game originally took inspiration from
>but not so much in the souls direction,
I've already made a mod that makes the combat more technical in more or less exactly this way, so I can definitely advise you on what to do or not do. The biggest 'mistake' I made was keeping Link left handed, as when shield positioning actually matters this fucks things up similarly to how fighting an opposite handed person does IRL, so you have to make enemies attack from the 'wrong' side to compensate and animations becomes more awkward.

Those classical plays aren't to be read as documentaries, but as cautionary tales of what would happen if men didn't excercise the necessary prudence and firm guidance in their dealings with women.

Unfortunately our forefathers stopped listening to the wisdom of the ancients, and now we're all worse off for it.

It's very strange to think that traders/gamblers wouldn't believe in the power of chance. If you view the market itself as a manifestation of Laplace's demon, what then compels you to enter the casino? Is there really some radical fatalism at work there, people who trade because they think of themselves as always having been predetermined to trade, regardless of what the likely outcome might be? Just going through the motions Manhattan style? Or is it but a ploy to scare away potential competition from the pot of honey?
>>
So I went ahead and read the manga... Question: Kurumi basically played with a ton of money from the broker and when shit derailed she simply filed for bankruptcy and walked away clean. The loss stayed in the account and the actual debt she got was much lower than expected, and the broker didn't get to touch her personal assets because she had no assets in her own name, the house and everything else they could claim actually belong to her dad. What stops people in real life from buying other people's SSNs to do the same? I bet criminals are doing exactly this to play with FX.

I wouldn't say it's because of the internet. It's not like women are sitting at home all day. It's more that traditionally, there really wasn't anything for women to waste all the money on. Now in the modern age where women are the biggest consumers and are more likely to impulse buy, this tradition makes less and less sense.

It's not just Japan. That's how it is in basically all of East Asia and cultures influenced by Confucianism. 男主外,女主内 or men manage outside, women manage inside. The wife was in charge of household finances because it was considered homemaking or work inside the home.

That depends a lot on where you live, though. In my country the government takes almost 40% of stock earnings, so after tax the return feels much smaller. That really demotivated me from investing.
>>
>>291610436
>government takes almost 40% of stock earnings
what country? I'd bet $5 you just don't understand your tax code and never bothered to read past that headline. 40% is not unusual for a short term capital gains tax, specifically made that way to prevent retards from day trading.
>>
What I don't like from this is they only look at the charts going up or down. I'd be looking at news about the countries they are trading with. Maybe look at what people are predicting in polymarket for those countries at least.

One of the biggest advantages of using OoT/MM as a base is that, as you'd already be somewhat aware, the mechanics have a ton of clever stuff built to that was intended to be used to replicate the kinds of things that you'd go on in a sword fight, but which were barely used given how the fighting was simplified for the final game, even though it was modeled on AoL's sword combat. So you have all these cool, genuinely well designed systems that give you a ton of freedom as to how you go about making the fights work, and you can more or less nudge them into actually actually affecting how you attack and defend against enemies in ways the original game ultimately failed to properly take advantage of. You can do all kinds of interesting shit with it that would actually be very hard to
do in a Souls game for a number of reasons, since you have such precise control over exactly how each of Link's abilities work and how they interact with individual enemies.

>>
>>291611083
That's exactly what I was thinking. Having your sword swing angle and relative position to the enemy as well as their guard matter has so much potential for depth. Hit stun changes too depending on the opponent so the pace and responsiveness of a fight can be freely manipulated. Essentially, I'd want to make a bunch of unique humanoid bosses and encounters that flesh out this sort of thing fully as well as reintroduce some of the scrapped mechanics and untouched ideas from Zelda 2, maybe also kenpo.
>>
>>291611249
>not being a $HAWKTUAHchad
>>
This show recontextualizes those hookers that spend the entire time on their backs staring at their cellphones while they rent their holes out. That is definitely how the cast will act when they hit rock bottom.
>>
>>291611265
If that's what you wanted to do you could probably build most of that on top of my work, and I'd happily welcome to effort to create new bosses that make use of the mechanics, if you're able to learn how to do that. There's a lot of stuff to take advantage of and you only really appreciate how well thought out things like the game's dodging mechanics are when you dig into and play around with them, and do things like set up otherwise hard to avoid attacks that will miss if you dodge in particular ways. 3D Zelda could easily have been regarded as one of the stronger action series if they committed to it working as one.

>Hit stun changes too depending on the opponent so the pace and responsiveness of a fight can be freely manipulated.
I implement this kind of thing using a 'tension' system that affects what you can do after based on how you defend. So if you hold you guard up and let your shield be hit by a big attack, then your tension bar will then be high, which will let you continue to actually move around and defend yourself, but will temporarily prevent you from attacking and limit your aggression. You can use this to manipulate/limit counterattacking without having to do something as blunt as entirely stun the player, so you get a lot of control over what you can do on what frame while still having the action continue.
>>
>>291611570
I was thinking about the enemy recoil actually, like how Stalfos seize up after being hit while Iron Knuckles at full health don't have their attacks interrupted at all. Shielding hadn't crossed my mind since I prefer being more aggressive and slipping through with quickspins and crouch stabs, but the fact that the player can approach combat in such different ways speaks to how much it could be expanded.
What servers should I check out to get started?

Japan treat trading as gambling and will not usually save you.
The case you mentioned is an exception because it was an institutional rugpull that actually fucked over people worldwide.
it's also why Mebuki has to work and had to ask her parents to pay her debts, filing for bankruptcy is not an option in most case.
>>
>>291611849
>What servers should I check out to get started?
You can check out the Harbour Masters discord to do work on the PC port, which is what I mostly use. Post something in soh-chat there about combat modding and I'll see if I can help you out. This is not the decomp, and will not result in a traditional ROMhack playable on emulators if you mod it, but it is insanely flexible at this point, and using the right tools you should be able to add new areas, actors etc. into the game to do what you want and can do all kinds of things that wouldn't be possible in the game's original form.

But if you do want to make an actual decomp ROMhack, you can instead go to the Hylian Modding server and get advice on how to make a modded ROM from there.

>I prefer being more aggressive and slipping through with quickspins and crouch stabs
I've nerfed the hell out of both of those in my build lol
>>
>>291612135
Oh, I hadn't realized. I'm not picky about it as long as the end result would be accessible to people. I'll start with the port for now though since there will probably be less barrier to entry without worrying about compatibility and stuff. Thanks.
