The thing is that after Hawaiians the ball should've been on Chizuru's side, but instead we were treated to Kazuya freaking out while doing mundane everyday things for months. In the end the "real date" was the actual "research", but it ended up inconclusive. Kazuya's training arc was just uncomfortable to watch, but now it's time for his second shot, which we already know will fail because Reiji already showed us Ruka and Umi scheming, so he can do date itself can be great, but this shit will still not end and the pacing will still be the same.
Ruka deserves to be in a better manga. What a waste of a great girl.
