>>291758175Yes I think it has an amazing start, an mid middle, and a just fine ending. I like happy endings more than sad ones. In season 1, we're having character taken from us by the 6th episode to further so many elements of the show, but in season 2, we're adding *new* characters and dynamics at that stage, because they somehow fumble some great character concepts with horrible characterization (gotta love Omi though, no hate to Omi, but her addition is late and is functionally very vapid, sorry). Thematically, I think it doesn't know what the fuck it wants to say, and by the end is just screaming an adage in your face like a kid who can't finish an essay they didn't plan. I think they detract from the impact of the higher level technology in the setting in virtue of some decent imagery, baiting you in with some interesting Maelstrom exploration that is ditched as soon as it came. The scale of the show wants to interact with some of THE highest level of tech that we've seen from the setting, full of implications, and then right after reign it back into a smaller character focus with absolutely no development for everything they just established. stop being cowards and let the kid kiss for fucks sake.

I agree that the characters felt more like actual characters this time and not just meat for the grinder. And that's another thing, I liked Capri since she felt very much like a trigger character (positive) but she paled as an antagonist compared to CHADam Smasher. AND another thing, the climax of the whole entire season being that terrible looking EMP was as underwhelming as it gets.

Another random complaint: Season 2 wasn't nearly as visually creative as the first one. Gif related was like a top 10 needledrop in any anime.
