How does capri powers work. It’s all electronics so how does she make stuff fly around and magnetize At first it made sense because she was hacking cars and such. But as the show went on her powers became nonsensical to the setting
The original had a better protagonist, this one has a better overall cast. But that's because David was pretty explicitly the protagonist in S1, but here D is the closest there is to David and he doesn't get nearly as much screentime or development. I thought he was pretty funny with what he got, though.

Flaws are undeniably there and the biggest one is that Roman and Talia didn't have a full episode dedicated to them and no one else so they can really seal that bond so the end hits harder. By the midpoint of that mission the Arasaka guards are beginning to fear for their lives and getting demoralized from getting mowed down by a single merc. It got so bad in ER2 that they had to rely on the NCPD for protection instead of sending their saka ninjas/mercs.

There seemed to happen a whole lot of nothing in the middle, and the arcs anons predicted for the characters were more interesting than what it actually ended up being (which is mostly nothing). [/spoiler]Roman as the protag practically just existed and even his whole film thing didn't add much, there was no arc of him getting more into it or putting an actual movie on a screen by the end, he never even got the better camera (also apparently everyone in night city is super up there on child safety, even the evil corpos just ignoring the kid who is involved in everything all the time, except for Maelstrom apparently). Instead of Talia getting some cool stuff like mantis blades or doing crazy acrobat combat, her arc teeters out into randomly becoming a lame trash kaiju, that didn't even do much. As much as I liked Capri, despite being heavily involved towards the end, she kinda weirdly stopped existing for most of it and that her blackwall tier netrunning randomly somehow turned into magnet powers made no sense. King had the same issue of existing as things happened with no turning point out of his initial predicament ever. And Avida felt like a box they had to tick, she was so out of place and boring to watch (as if that was ever supposed to be Talia's mom in anything Trigger would've made on their own, like holy shit must her dad's genes been fucking ultra powerful).
