Chapter 52: Rain or Shine

>>291751192That's my heroine !
Done. Women are complicated. Or is it mangaka? Are you dependent on anyone?See you tomorrow!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpHVZHQH7C8
>>291750968Cutest little paintbrush
>>291751064Women
>>291751064>artists when they get their first real critiqueJoking aside I thought this chapter was a good look into some of the tension involved in being an editor. I like that Sasahara feels things out to figure out what would be best for Ogiue's goals. The feedback and way you give it to a hobbyist would be very different than to someone who seriously wants to go pro but it would be difficult for a newbie to take it while they still have a lot of their self-worth tied up in their art.
Daily Ogiue simping roomAlso>genshiken 2 opening>https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3o796pon dailymotion again, it is what it is. This one is my favourite cause of the fan service, seed was big during this time? idrI will probably rip them from my own dowloads and upload them privately to youtube when we're near the real end, dailymotion and 480p are going to be my end
>>291751359Thanks OP>Are you dependent on anyone?My parents
where's my nigga mo?
>>291750968deliciously flat
>>291751359That's OP>Are you dependent on anyone?Sadly no.
>>291751359>Are you dependent on anyone? My supposed gf that ignores the shit out of me
>>291750968I was thinking, for a very down-to-earth, realistic story as Genshiken, Ogiue's hair sticks out as being kind of fantastical. That got me thinking... was that intentional, a comment on her vs the rest of the cast? Fun to think about
>>291751064>>291751079>>291751095>>291751104Everyone wants a tsundere gf but nobody wants to deal with no tsun shit
>>291751277B-bakana…..she “scaled the wall” after one revision?! Usually it takes more than just a second attempt to improve that much but maybe she’s a genius
>>291751335Sasahara you’re in for a lot of angry and make-up sex it seems. Lucky bastard.
>>291753258You just gotta learn how to. Tsun isn't for first timers.
>>291751346If Tanaka has any brains he should know that a girl who not only shares his interests, but also does cosplay, and is even extremely attractive, is not the kind of girl who should have to work a day in her life if she doesn’t want too.
>>291751359Cheers OP>Are you dependent on anyone?Nah, well paid wagie. My sister is the family deadbeat and I'm dreading her trying to routinely hit me up after our parents retire next year and cut her off.
>>291753648Are you the older or younger sibling?
>>291751064>/ic/
>>291751104Great representation of "I messed up" here.
I'm going to be the contrarian faggot here and say that I think the series peaked right at about the point where the first anime ended. It's not like it suddenly became irredeemable or anything but I prefer the down-to-earth feeling of the early chapters and how it feels like you could have met any of these guys in a similar club or group of friends in real life. I could be wrong but I almost get the sense that the writer was drawing from his own experiences for the original club. Ogiue, Kuchiki (who I never imagined would actually become a part of the club), and the Americans, not so much. They feel more like goofy stereotypes and I was never that fond of any of them (except Sue for superficial reasons, too bad she's just a one-note gimmick character). Does anybody else relate to me here or am I alone on this?
>>291751034
>>291751104>>291754429>Great representation of "I messed up" here.Is that what it is? I was wondering if she's still fuming at Sasahara's criticism there or if she's moved on to self-hatred over having chimped out on him.
>>291751335>Power to produceLarge family incoming.>>291751359>Are you dependent on anyone? No, but I wish someone depended on me.
>>291754637>I could be wrong but I almost get the sense that the writer was drawing from his own experiences for the original clubThe one set of guest pages from Tagro a bit back implied that as well>>291415020 >>291415029
>>291754637It's an understandable perspective. I would never have expected Kuichiki would make a return for longer than a quick gag. I think Ogiue kind of requires being more of a "character" in order to tell the story that the author wanted to tell. Granted, I don't think the goofier characters distract too much, but I also see why someone would be annoyed by a raised noise floor.
>>291754810Here's a topic. Should the author write what they want, or appeal to others?I guess it depends on your goals right?
>>291755121The middle of the road where the author writes what they want but listens to critique and pointers. Then apply changes when it's for the best.Being stubborn in either directions is never good.
>>291755121ideally there should be both kinds of writers in the world.
>>291754637I agree to an extent. The latter half of part 1 is still enjoyable to me but there's a shift in balance towards characters being more one note and wacky which I recall getting much worse in the sequel as the relationship drama takes more focus. The other thing that flattens out as the series progresses is the detailed ground level look at otaku culture.
>>291750968OL Ogi>>291751064That's one big downward spiral...>>291751079Call the copypasta anon. This gremlina is out of control.>>291754829>she's moved on to self-hatred over having chimped out on himIt's definitely this. Well, maybe with a little bit of fuming present too.>>291751192Very cool page. Ogiue is locked the fuck in.>>291751258>God, she pisses me off!Sounds like jealousy to me, hehe.>>291751335Kinda goslinging at this, bros...>>291751346>All you have to do is cut your hairEven merely suggesting Ohno to cut her silky hair should be considered a crime.>>291751359>Big bad MoYou did this on purpose didn't you, OP?>Are you dependent on anyone? Not really.Quite a tough chapter to read (I have a very tough time with short-tempered people and that part where Ogi freaked out was very unpleasant to read, which was the intended effect, I would imagine) but definitely one of my favourites so far. Very interesting exploration of the editor-mangaka dynamic.
>>291752558Molines-en-Queyras
>>291751346Ohno is fluent in English, right? She could easily be a tour guide or something. I don't see why she'd have to cut her hair for that, as long as it's tied up.>>291753517She can cook too... what sort of work is Tanaka doing again?
>>291756208>She can cook too... what sort of work is Tanaka doing again?Tanaka is going off to a school for making clothes/costumes, and implicitly will be making cosplay costumes as a small independent business. If he does well Ohno can be a housewife, if she needs to work I guess she could do sales for Tanaka's business or something.
>>291754637I do miss Saki shenanigans
>>291754637I mean, considering he's a professional mangaka who debuted while at university, surely the author is also drawing on his own experiences when presenting Ogiue's and Sasahara's route into the mangaka / editor careers? It's just that it's something fewer of his readers can empathize with.
>>291756712I liked his recent futa doujins
we're back
>>291757526yay
I wonder if OP will post the chapter
Where the FUCK is OP

Chapter 53: The Confession
>>291759031Ohno never forgets.
Done. Maybe somebody out there didn't want this chapter to be dumped. Were you able to say it?See you tomorrow!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUhRKVIjJtw
>>291759082>>291759094The joke here is that Genshiken was published in Monthly Afternoon.>Were you able to say it?I suppose so.
>the gods delaying the release of this chapter just like Madarame hesitates and delays spilling his feelings towards KasukabeIt’s poetry>>291759094>Were you able to say it?I was able to say it, but silence is golden
>>291758766Look at this boy in love. Look at the pain from his self-imposed commitment to silence melt away.
>>291759094Thank you OP>Were you able to say it?I did and I didn't. Both didn't work out. Such is life.
>>291759094>Were you able to say it?I regret what I didn’t do more than what I did.Fuck it FERNANDA YOU WERE MY FIRST TRUE LOVE AND I STILL THINK ABOUT YOU ALMOST 10 YEARS LATER
>>291759094Thanks OP>Were you able to say it?I did it very casually
>>291759094>Were you able to say it?Yes, but it was weird because I just wanted to tell her I liked her and that I had feelings for her but not actually that I wanted to go out with her, which then I had to clarified. I got rejected anyways.
Which one of the girls like it in the butt?
>>291761676oono did live in the states
>>291758510This is gonna hurt>>291758684This hurts>>291759094That didn't hurt as much as I expected but I feel like there's more hurt in the future>Were you able to say it?I did once tell a girl I had a crush on her, back when I was a wee little lad.
I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE GONE FOREVER
>>291761676Kousaka when crossdressing
Good god, this was a tense chapter. I have to say, Madarame is my favorite character, his crush and how he grapples with it are very engaging to me.>>291759094I liked girls, occasionally, but I was always a secret wimp, never could until a few years ago. Nutted up, accepted I was throwing a friend away, told her I liked her, and thus began a year and a half of a gigantic dumpster fire relationship holy fuck we had nothing in common. Strange, then, I guess, that I like Saki so much.>>291759940Sorry to hear that friend. One day I'm sure you'll run into her at market basket with her husband and 3 children>>291763337Sometimes the youngest among us have the biggest nuts, before shame gets beaten into us
>>291750999Man, I totally get that feeling of having read your lines so many times that you can't tell anymore if they're okay or not.
>>291759094>Were you able to say it?noand i've always regretted it
With all the confusion I totally forgot, but here is the new eko eko:>>291764510>>291764510>>291764510
>>291759094I had a crush on a girl I went to middle school with who was a fellow huge nerd, but I never had the guts to ask her out and we ended up going to different high schools. I thought I missed my chance, but then after a few months she reached out to me, asking if I could DM a game for her and some of her new friends, like I used to do for our middle school group. And so, almost every weekend throughout my high school years, I'd run a pen and paper roleplaying session for a group of girls that included my crush. Then, as we all graduated and it was clear we will be going to different universities across the country, we decided to conclude our last campaign with a bang. The parents of one of the girls owned a little hotel in the mountains, and we stayed there for two summer weeks, playing for hours every day. Two days before the end, in the table tennis room overlooking the mountains, mulled wine in hand, I finally confessed to my crush who politely turned me down.I am, however, married to the girl whose parents owned the hotel.
>>291765389CUTE
>>291751234Ogiue is so cute when she's tired...
>>291765389That's a twist right outta a popular romcom manga there. If you were 2D you'd have /a/nons having dumbass waifu wars.
