Iruma and Ichi have simular backstories, as in both had terrible parents and lived there youth alone in wilderness for the most part. And the story start with them exploring a new world/place they know nothing about and being one of the kind in said world/place.But they are very different in person. Iruma was a pushover with no goal/desire in life while Ichi live for the thrill of the hunt, which translated well to Majik hunting.Other characters share very little if any simularities at all, characters closest to Iruma/Ichi are very different. Descarass as example might seem to be a more active Bachiko but isn't. Baal and World hater which are main antagonist are nothing alike eather. There are just a bunch of differences here.Oh and Ichi is far more action focused than Iruma is.

Dess is almost nothing similar to Bachiko (Dess is a bad teacher who have a lot of confident while Bachiko is a good teacher who lost her drive to teach). The bad guys in Ichi want to end the world while Baal and his group want to change society order. Plus Baal and his group is actually a lot more split in their goal (Baal, Narnia and Knighwalker basically only work together at the moment because they share a current goal but will stab each other when needed)
