None of the characters besides the main maybe 2 or 3 characters matter. That's why I find it so hard to care when the story introduces 20 new ones. I don't even bother to learn their names since they'll job or they're already dead.

Yeah Kagura isn't very good. There are flashes of it being great but the writer keeps relying on tropes that he clearly doesn't understand.
