Single character covers are pretty uninspired and lazy. I don't know who popularized it but I'm sick of these. I don't know who would go to the store, see a cover on a later volume of a series they haven't read with just a character not the main character that may or may not be featured within the volume on it, then decide to buy the entire series from the beginning.

Anon in the last thread pointed out that two different EiCs put Kagurabachi at the bottom of the ToC. That's really interesting. Why is that? Is all of Kagurabachi's popularity just outside Japan, while it's still not favored inside the country? Whatever the reasons, they're shooting themselves in the foot. They don't have anything better than Kagurabachi and yet they treat it so poorly within Jump itself, while spending a ton of money on ads in other publications and on the streets of Tokyo and NY.

On serious note, Ruri adaptation in a way is different in a context Kyoani managed to put its name on the copyright. If you look at Jump's other adaptations, the copyright for anime part always fall under something like " Series Collaboration Project" or "Series Project" or "Series Production Committee" but for Ruri it's the sole name of the studio that we saw.
