The VN is very long if you listen to the voice acting. So long that I think it negatively effects the whole thing. Took me nearly 3 months to work up the effort to get through it all, and only almost a year later have I decided to start HA soon. However, I did read a whole bunch of other Fate stuff, so it clearly did a good job at getting me interested (though I started with Tsukihime, so I was already primed)

>>291773699I love Fate and type-moon in general. It's one of the only thing that genuinely makes me happy and excited about games and anime. I'm looking forward to the new Mahoyo movie btw.Regarding FSN, the VN is great but a bit too long imo. Best route was Heaven's Feel for me thanks to all the lore surrounding the HGW and Kotomine. I dislike the anime adaptation and the movies because the writing isn't good enough since it's way too short. OST are always great regardless. What I like the most about Fate and Nasu's writing in general is he doesn't preach. He knows life is complex and weird and tough. One thing I dislike about Fate though is the way FGO is handled. It has a lot of "important" and interesting lore and characters that are basically stuck in gacha hell (for now) and it's really painful to witness how wasted some stories and characters and ideas are. I don't regret clearing FGO but sometimes I'm like "Man, I wish I didn't know about that thing because it could've been so much more in a different media".
