There's lots of things that could've been touched upon or done better but it's already long ans Sako needed to focus on Baku/Lalo. I think Kyara is more important to lose here because it's all apart of Baku having to cut off what he had before. He "lost" Hal but kept clinging to getting him back or facing or even doing the whole ally thing. He had to lose what he took for granted (debatable, but I do think he took Kyara a little for granted especially how he acted getting picked up for the island.). Kaji's kindness is much more closer with Marco and the difference between Baku/Kyara and Kaji/Marco is core difference in teh relationship between a man and their sword. This island was not Kaji's gamble, so Marco didn't have to be entirely relevant.
