It turned out Kiril was more nuanced than just evil corpo nigga but he still felt, idk... not enough, that's an issue I have with everyone in this season, it was far too ambitious for something of such short length, the characters felt more like they were following quotas rather than being people. In episode 1, Roman creates the expectation this would be an immersive story, yet this felt more like watching a synopsis on tiktok, the story was so bad at giving us time with these guys I was actually excited when King started bantering with Talia, finally! Some character interaction! Now you're telling me Roman (dumb) and D(umber) are coming too? Holy shit, I can finally fall in love with these characters! ...And then Capri shows up and ruins the whole scene with the most dragged out, disappointing action on earth, felt like those One Piece fights, not to mention how Night City was practically non-existent, all of what made it such a crazy world to live in didn't exist compared to s1, how can anyone insert themselves into a world like this?A 24 episode season with each character getting 2-3 episodes each, some for themselves and others for their interactions with other members of the cast or maybe episode one and two being 50 minutes long, would have done wonders to what they had here, so much potential, I feel genuinely sad watching cool characters like this being wasted. I hate how I can't even get any pleasure out of hating this story because it's still a 6/10 at the end of the day, left a sour taste in my mind for sure.
