Ever feel cheated when a show kills off the best character way too early?
Depends on the writing.I once knew several chapters in advance that a character was going to die. First this overpowered witch got her farewell, and then she and her allies started acting really fucking stupid in the next encounter. It pissed me off so much not that she was going to die, but that she would be written out of the story so forcefully. The previous arc had even introduced time travel powers for the protagonist party. In fact, one of the time travelers was the as of yet unborn daughter of the overpowered witch. There was really no excuse. But I knew it was going to happen, and it happen it did.I stopped reading right there and said good riddance.
>>291789142Don't get to attached early on. My issue is when the author keeps killing named characters it makes me not give a fuck about who loves or dies
near the end and still way too early
Imagine immediately loving that ditz from the opening scene of Elfen Lied.
>>291789142No.
>>291789142Not really, honestly. Why?
>>291789142Yeah. There was a character in this anime that was portrayed as a villain early on but it turned out the real villains created the circumstances for it. I knew the sad story and the villain death was going to be used for MC's growth but it felt cheap since the villain was an interesting character and had room for redemption and joining MC. But it was unceremoniously killed and from time to time the MC remembers it in future chapters.Wasted opportunity I guess.
>>291795698What anime was that?
>>291796431Obviously spoiler. You're warned.Radiant
>>291789142Shiori was so wasted, she was easily the hottest character of the show.
