>>291803398I wasn't really enthused by it, but I wouldn't call it bad. I mainly remember the pacing was slow as molasses due to flashback hell. But that might have had to do with frequent breaks. Another thing that dragged it down for me was that the motivation of the arc's main bad threw a spotlight on the wonky definition of whether demons are just automatons with elaborate behavior patterns, solely to trick humans or whether they're sentient beings (and being capable of emotions). The arc flip flops and tiptoes around that issue and still left it unsatisfactorily ambivalent, despite being the core issue of the story arc. You'll like it though, if you're mainly in it for some shounen battling, Frieren and her entourage aura farming and Denken getting some exposure too. It'ss probably go over well animated.
