Her rant was partially projection, but it was also indignation that he already fulfills the "role" she wants and contempt that he's passively allowing himself to be used by the people around him.I don't think another person will get dumped into the pit for a while, but once one does, they'll probably get more explicit exposition than Chitose did. She's mostly just a plot device.
