A single panel double page spread is very impactful because it "explodes" out of the usually more constrained panels. You're seeing smaller windows then suddenly you turn the page and there's a huge one!But in animation, every shot is, usually, the same size. So impactful visuals have to be achieved in a different way. Movement is also more of a constant, so you need to take that into account when making impactful cinematography.Trigger actually just did this with Edgerunners 2, which has the excuse of using in universe cameras with different aspect ratios and then, in the climax, hard cutting from that to how it "actually" looks during the emotional climax. But it's not something that's going to work in Dungeon Meshi, so they need some other technique to simulate not just the look but the FEELING of that spread.
