The first season is just so aimless outside of the very beginning and end. Most of the characters don't matter and don't get a chance to be interesting. And the characters that do matter still have pretty weak motivations. And so many action scenes are ruined with the shitty toy cars. I still like it, but I consider it very overrated.The second season is a lot more coherent. Everyone has a clear and sensible motivation for the things they do. And, probably in part because of that, I'd argue that all four of the main cast end up more developed than either David or Lucy. I also found them more interesting and their character arcs more satisfying. The toy cars were still a problem. But they looked a little less bad this time and they were not as frequently used as the focal point of the action. The first season does have better music, though. Or at least uses its soundtrack better.They were both too short, but I think it has a more obvious and direct impact on the second season. You'd have to do more than simply add a couple of episodes to the first season to fix its flaws. But I think you could make no major structural changes to the second season and simply add two episodes worth of what was already there and it would become a 10/10. But if there were going to be any changes, I'd like Roman and King to have more of a connection. I like the dynamic between Roman and D. But Roman and King were the two that dragged everyone away from the edge to the hopeful ending. And also I just like them both a lot and they were my favorite parts of their respective sides of the story. So it would have been nice to see them interact more.
