I like how the anime and the vn are basically two different genres.The VN starts like a nostalgic childhood summer but as you learn more, it makes you feel like an outsider detective staring at an evidence board and struggling to connect all the pieces together.The anime in comparison makes it look like you are suffering from Hinamizawa syndrome yourself. The rushed pacing, underdeveloped characters and cheap production accidentally play into the narrative of memory loss, hallucination and fever dream-like vision.
