The main character has the power to cancel magic, and instead of this being a cool hidden ability that blows enemies the fuck out, literally EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE SERIES knows about it from the first arc. Then the MC does nothing the whole time and gets mind controlled by that witch queen in the forest arc. That was about the time I dropped it forever.

>>292048296Vanica isn't the main focus of the fight, she's just there to show how strong Noelle is with her sacred valkyrie mode and make way for Megicula who's the true boss of the fight and the real cause behind the death of Noelle's mom. About how they're gonna handle the fight. The next two episodes will likely handle the remaining chapters of volume 30. So far except for the first episode they have been adapting five chapters per episode, next one should end in chapter 298 that's the start of Megicula's fight, then episode 7 will end in chapter 303 that is the end of the fight as a whole. Chapter 304 (aftermath and the one with the infamous scene where Mimosa revives Gaja) will surely be the start of episode 8 just like how next episode will start with Dante waking up as a monster and Jack fighting him before Noelle's fight starts.
