I think Ren realized it was Urushima because she saw the bullets go thorugh her and her laptop without making any noise. In manga it is hard to convey it, but for example Nino's bullets had an unsettling threatening sound in the anime, whereas trion guns sound like their real counterparts. It's the only explanation I can see for how Silencer works.

Every B-rank who got involved in the invasion seriously leveled up for that exact reason. Making crucial mistakes in a safe learning environment is invaluable but in order for them to show up, pressure is required.
