Surpassing the leader is good because of the personal battle between Baku and Souichi but strictly from a gamble perspective in regards to strategy and creativity, air poker is better. The law, calamity, the 2v2, the 25 and witch pain. It was all so intricate. StL is "simple" compared to air poker rules wise.

The average Protoporos page/scene just feels less impactful and immersive for me because the amount of content included in each page is.... a little more than what Sako was known for up to that point. It's hard to explain without providing several examples, but I will try this one:This page is not nice to look at.It does its job, certainly. It doesn't have a "pacing" problem.But looking at it is not a pleasant experience.ToK Sako would most likely use 2 or 3 pages to convey that same amount of dialogue/information. It doesn't make ToK "better", but it does make my overall experience rereading ToK more enjoyable when we're not comparing the plot/events of each arc.
