The Chimera Ant arc is truly the worst thing to have ever existed.The character designs are atrocious–most of the ants look like degenerate furfag costumes, and wearing only minimal clothing as to ensure we aren't scarred for life. It is as if Togashit based the ants off of some monstrosity on DeviantArt, and then added extra degeneracy as a cherry on top.The writing is just SHIT. The narrator is basically a main character at this point. We don't care what a comedic relief character is doing, we don't need it narrated to us, and we'd rather you show it to us than fucking tell us. The big themes of this arc fail to land–somehow humans are the bad guys yet a group of murderous ants who want to take over the world and wipe out humanity are no longer bad? What the fuck? Furthermore, the whole entire arc is littered with asspulls and plotholes. Even better, Togashit wrote him into a corner with Gon's little freakout, and had to introduce a tranny deus ex machina to save his ass. What was the point of this arc? What morals did we learn from this? How humans are evil fucks and literal anthropomorphic insects who want to kill innocent people aren't? What the fuck???Lastly, it is just super fucking boring. It is dragged out. The narration is excessive. The Chimera Ant arc should have been shortened down to 1/2 of what it was, and even then it still wouldn't have been good.How people say this is the "best arc" is beyond me. It is complete and utter garbage.
