Is this a shojo anime?
Parts of it are and parts of it aren't. It's mostly a fun adventure show about a girl chasing her dreams but it also has bits of romantic teasing here and there that feel like they'd come out of a shoujo manga.
>>292134703I don't think that anime originals can really be separated into magazine demographics like that but if it helps the manga based on it was published in Ultra Jump which is a seinen magazine. There is however another spin off manga that was published in Ribon which is a shojo magazine
>>292135361they absolutely can, the studios still have a target demographic, even if it is not as clear to the viewers since there is no label on them.Take Gurren Lagann for example, this just screams "made for teenage boys" at every single angle possible
>>292134703>shojo maho academiagee I wonder
>>292135431I can point to a million shows with shojo in the title or shojos that are published in Seinen mags
