Thank you all so much! Always exciting when people call out specific design decisions, glad the pelvic boot is well received! Definitely agonized over the hand and foot designs for a while until I settled on those so glad people noticed.

The second pose definitely started off as just a way to show off exposed flanges and then it just became the sultry pose. Might go rework them a little based on your feedback!

I definitely based the background off where Nithry is, so it's basically him! Going off your point about what about him probably not understanding what that pose would be; what would a "sultry" pose for a fyrix be? How do they show affection to each other?

I assume this story will be all SFW(some might say NSFW wouldnt tonally work but I think it could be done) think you'll do any NSFW with them? With the size difference it'd have to be all hand play i'd think

If you really want some lore dumps that I'll probably never get to explain in the actual work, Fyrix affection is complicated. Fundamentally, their society is a somewhat oxymoronic "individualist collective". Everyone's more or less on their own, but everyone's still buying into the same game. Nevertheless, you do have friendships, but from our perspective they'd still be incredibly transactional, more like a professional acquaintance than an actual friend. Fyrix affection to me is someone whom you can trust to not exploit your weakness to their own benefit, (which is a rare commodity.) This is generally signaled via emanations to establish a sort of unspoken contract that whatever's discussed will remain unexploited. As you can imagine, when your entire existence is one unending rat race, this can feel quite refreshing. I'd equate that level of vulnerability to cuddling, even though the Fyrix aren't the most physical in their affections. I think of it like getting high off of their mere presence. There is some physical aspect to both locking hand-to-forearm, as well as trophallaxis, but physical contact is mostly incidental. From a human perspective, they wouldn't psychologically differentiate touching their shoulder or their inner thighs, they're all just 'touches' that carry very little meaning beyond propinquity. A Fyrix might just be flopped sideways on top of another and still be having the time of their life.

This makes a 'sultry' pose difficult from our perspective since it's mostly chemical. I think the closest translation would be a sideways preening pose that displays as much of them as possible, because simply to be valuable and well groomed is to be desired. But pushing the definition of sultry to purely sexual, It would probably be the female Fyrix on her back with her abdomen between her thighs as she waits for the male to link his to hers.

This is a purely SFW work. Getting people interested in something that doesn't have sex in it is difficult, but rewarding, and I don't want to cheapen the work by making it smut. That being said, considering my other works it's obvious I've thought about this. (Guilty as charged.) I wouldn't say humans and Fyrix are *entirely* compatible. Socially it's a little difficult, but physically a human could fit. The way they derive pleasure is different, as the Fyrix method is staying attached for half the day and maybe longer if they're feeling frisky. But if the question is can a human bring pleasure to a Fyrix and vise versa, the answer is yes. They'd need to remain understanding as you do your weird thrusting thing, and you'd need to remain understanding as they insist you stay inside for hours after you'd already gone soft and need to carry them around if you want to get anything done. Also, Fyrix aren't constantly horny like humans are. It's something you need to induce, but honestly, if they were with a human I feel it would end up being permanent.

Sorry to crush your dreams if you were expecting Eigen to give Nithry the dick in the middle of the jungle. I suppose Eigen would probably be really horny after years of isolation, even if it's a weird bug boy, but it'll need to be in your imagination. However, as the author, I will tell you that Dr. Zyrrs would definitely, absolutely want to examine his sexual organs up close. Scientifically of course, but I'll leave the depth of that unsaid.

I mean hear me out (completely self indulgent suggestion) exploring a relation between Eigen and Zyrrs farther down would give you an opportunity to explore and expand on this lore! (Never thought it would make sense for him to get with Nithry, Zyrrs makes the most sense given interests and personalities)

This is all interesting stuff and makes sense with how they're constructed. You've again done a good job making it both very different but still understandable. Having it be largely chemically signalling fits well.

I will disagree on this point, I think people have this attitude because a lot of smut can be... Obvious? Like the plot points are set up to blatantly facilitate a sexy time happening, it can feel unnatural. I want to have my cake and eat it, good well constructed story and lore that happens to have some smut occur organically. Smut only cheapens it if it gets shoehorned in.

There's something fun about seeing two partners find a way accommodate eachother; Eigen just needs some perfumes and a plug lol

It could be that Tau do fart and chew for hours, but considering that this is from an Imperial (I assume) POV the Tau they're holding is probably locked away in a cell being fed food their bodies aren't used to while possibly being tortured. No wonder they're stress eating/farting.

I once had a dream that every single 40k story being told is exaggerated to fuck because slow communication and oral stories tend to get embellished with each retelling, and that ultimately the 40k galaxy is an otherwise pretty reasonable place to live in.

A minor agricultural pest that devastated the harvest. What's a planetary governor to do when they can't pay the tithe? Play up the threat. Oh yeah them bugs are vicious, we couldn't fight them off! Once it goes through the grapevine it turns into world devastating hive fleeting warrior bugs. Tyranids appearing on another world? Shit they probably have spacefaring capabilities, probably the Tyranid advance force. Sound the alarm boys. Reports of devastating defenses? PDF and guard making themselves look good by hyping the enemy up.
Chaos?
Only exists as an idea. Cults are people trying new things, Chaos gets blamed because no one wants to admit that their public education, healthcare, entertainment options, and police force suck. Chaos doesn't give power, the people get stronger because they have something to believe in and worship. Ships getting fucked while passing through the warp? It's the ships FTL drives messing up because they're old and worn out. Or someone put in the wrong coordinates but no one else can read them so they don't catch it. Chaos Space Marines are just an excuse to disavow and demonize rebel Astartes.
A few retellings later and you've got Chaos Gods and Daemons and such.

Literally just Detroit or any underfunded urban-industrial places.
