I can give some insight into what I'd thought up since I was debating writing a story at one point to go along with it but lacked the time and lost the motivation at some point.Basically when I was looking up stuff w/ Penitent Engines I'd read that Sisters who've failed in their faith or through mistakes caused the death of others would be sentenced to serving in a Penitent Engine rather than simply being sent to the Repentia, so I decided to come up with something along those lines.The idea I'd had was that the Sister in question was a Sister Superior commanding a squad and had come face-to-face with a Slaaneshi daemon alongside the rest of her Squad, but her faith wavered (possibly due to seeing a vision of her future fate/the fate of her Sisters) and she panicked at the sight of it. In the subsequent fight, her entire Squad was wiped out alongside most of her Mission, including the Mission's Palatine, her commanding officer, while the daemon escaped. The survivors of the Mission blamed her, and their Commandery's Canoness ordered that she be condemned to serve in a Penitent Engine.The sequence I rationalized was taking place later during a planet's fall into a Daemon world (possibly the same world where she got her unit slaughtered), with her Penitent Engine and others being left behind while more deserving forces were evacuated. The faces that were emerging out of her now-daemon engine were supposed to be all the Sisters in her unit that'd been killed due to her actions, the Daemon she failed to kill originally having actually captured their souls to torment for its own pleasure for eternity, basically forcing her to listen to her dead comrades moaning wantonly and such while she's wracked with guilt (at least until she gets transformed). I'd also had the idea that the large head below her that's tongue began fucking her would either have been the Palatine, or a Sister who she was really close with/possibly lovers with.
