I think also part of why xenomorphs are made female by artists is a self-fueling cycle. Because many artists aren't really fans of the Alien series, they just draw versions of other fanart. I personally don't like the mary sue HFY stuff, the human race wouldn't be all stars but I think the willingness we have to endure horrible conditions (Imagine what humans that live on submarines or oil rigs look like to an alien) would be something that makes humans a tempting choice to an empire looking for infantry/enforcers. Armor like a spacesuit and ceramic armor shaped like medieval plate-mail. The other is just modern day, because I'm not sure if I'd be able to write the perspective of a medieval knight adjusting to space and ayys in a way to do it justice.

>>9222188well whatever you decide, if you do end up writing your story, please, and i beg this of you because soooo many amateur writers don't do this: run your story through spellcheck and proofread it for any glaring mistakes once you're done writing for the day. it immediately breaks the immersion if there are typos, or if the author can't tell the difference between to and too, or they're, there, and their, or lose and loose. you can probably even ask anons here to proofread italso try and keep contemporary language out of the dialogue, like modern slang. if you can't picture an adult from before 2001 saying the dialogue, then it probably needs another pass
