Hey, /xeno/! Here's Chapter 40 of The Howler!

Big chapter Four-Zero. We're going back to the council a bit, and boy do those guys know how to make a mountain out of a molehill, but is uncovering the truth even a good thing at a this point? Also, a nice little jaunt through nature with our favorite not-couple.

I've also gotten this wonderful piece of art to finally show off Zyrrs' design. She differs a lot from the prototypical Fyrix, and I like how her dress exemplifies that, especially with her carved arms, which really set her apart. Also it helps display the mysteries of how Fyrix sit.
>>
>>9242175
...stop?

cute art, source?
>>
>>9242411
[excited noises]
oh my fucking god, the assholes saved themselves by their reputation of being assholes... and the Zyrrs' segment really hits different when you remember you don't get to read from her any indication of pheromones from Nestiri or odor from the environment; while you do get a bit in the council from Zharr's internal commentary.

also i was half expecting a human to walk into the council chambers "yeah we found them, aaand... here they are! SURPRISE!"

> the human is a female
> the woman literally can not stop the "cute aggression" towards the sophonts that are smaller than her
> everyone thinks they're going to die
by the time she's done, everyone will wish they had died... of embarrassment.

also some potential for editing:
>were their own remaining
own might've been intended to be "only"

>made me was to efflugate
was should probably be "want"

By making better designs.
The valbs head fan and arms tentacles are dumb but raptor harems are sexy. You can do better very eaily.
>>
>>9237210
The Illithid have always had a taste for hidden knowledge, willing to trade for heretical texts and apocryphal tomes if it means gaining insight to further "the grand design". The mind flayer’s have recently uncovered an entirely new kind of forbidden text… Smut.

The discovery of dark romance novels has led to Paladins and Fighters becoming an endangered species, with more than half of human men outside city walls disappearing due to Illithid Poaching. Concern is on the rise, who knows what manner of mental torment (handholding) and torture the Aberrant menace could be subjecting these brave warriors to for their own twisted enjoyment?

NTA, but while I like the head fans, the arm tentacles and how the feathers on both can apparently vanish into hammerspace only to pop back out into giant displays irks me, probably more than it should. Like yeah I get it, the creator probably saw those chinese folding paper fans and thought "hey what if an alien had these built-in", but I just can't seem to parse how that manages to fit into a tentacle that spirals around their forearms

>feathers INSIDE a fleshy compartment
That seems like a place ripe for infection, and the feathers always being damp and jamming up when being sheathed. I appreciate the attempt to explain it though
>>
>>9244688
Different species have different levels of infection risk. Reptiles are outright immune to rabies for instance. Opossums are also functionally immune to rabies as well just because their internal body temp is a couple degrees lower than most other mammals. A more fucked example is spotted hyenas can survive rabies and then still carry it with no negative effects which then gives them a free "poison DOT bite" more or less.

>small arm tentacles actually store the entire color range worth of feathers in them while also being prehensile
not even that hard, make them just refract light at certain angles so expressions are made up of both color and head position but are similarly fucked up in environments not their native one because different sun wavelengths

We all know about human drunkenness, but i have a few ideas about alien drunkenness for >>9245544 Annelisse's species alcohol symptoms:
Mostly emotional amplification to where social restraints are over-powered by any existing, genuine feelings. However, unlike in humans, their intelligence, memory and awareness remain intact when "drunk". Their body undergoes a metabolic increase when ingesting alcohol causing 1. physical exhaustion and slowed and strained "lazy" movements, and 2. hyper-thermia, raising skin temperature by several degrees, which if the subject remains clothed will continue to raise internal temperature to deadly levels (cause of death: thermal regulation mechanisms) resulting in a "clingy" physical attachment behaviors to colder surfaces or objects, and a want of stripping nude to cool down.

A short story idea regarding the 6-armed bandit on the glass countertop of the bar (literally, she lays on the bar's plate glass covered countertop)
> "If you're going to be drinking with Annelisse it's important you know a few things about her species and alcohol before you start"
"As long as she likes it that's all I need to know"
[eventually]
> "...Annelisse simply being nude and uncovered is enough to avoid heat exhaustion, however, do not agree to engage in sexual activity or you will not be released for the several hours it takes for her or any of species to regain sobriety."
"Oh, know something about that, do you?"
> "IF SOMEHOW you are 'captured' by her many grasping hands, do not attempt to pull them loose, instead slide them off your body and transfer them to another object-"
"Oh ho ho ho"
> "PREFERABLY METAL so that she don't DIE of heat exhaustion as her metabolism ramps up to deal with the alcohol."
"Sorry, what- You said she can die from drinking?"
> "Gonna ask me how I know about that?"
"Uh, I was only jok-"
> "Wise up or fuck off, John. I don't over-serve my customers."
>>
>>9245660
My immediate thought was she's lucky it's not extra-toxic to her species. He's lucky her body chemistry isn't closer to the Visitors from Alien Nation.
>>
>>9246064
>visitors
I meant Newcomers.
>>
>>9245660
Now invent awesome things to solve the issue. Literal cool-suits like jackets or longcoats with inner aircons when drinking in foreign places or hanging in species-friendly bars that have literal chilled environments.

>>
>>9246127
>If Anne comes to the bar wearing loose, see-through clothing with more cutouts than actual cloth. She's there for a good time.
>If she comes wearing a hardsuit with good thermal regulation functions... Dilute her booze real good. She's straddling the line between emotional enough to want to do something BAD, and aware enough to actually be capable of it.
>>
>>9246127
I would invent a large concrete-lined pit in the ground, filled with dihydrogen monoxide. My second invention would be some kind of container which could hold dihydrogen monoxide, both in solid and liquid form, for the express purpose of consumption.

>telling your alien pals how on your planet, in the golden age of exploration, they used to pack 400 men into these giant wooden coffins that floated across your seas powered by nothing but wind, and navigating exclusively via constellations. the occupants being forced to subsist on nothing but meat so saturated with salt that it was toxic to all life, bricks of grain with 0% water content, and dried plant material that resembled animal droppings, all packed in wooden containers
>they look at you like you're the town crackhead
>you learn that everyone else's species generally developed their technology much further before ever attempting to cross their oceans or circumnavigate their globe, prioritizing safety and consistency over doing it with what they describe as "below the bare minimum"
>they're baffled your species got such a system to work at all, considering how fickle weather patterns can be, obscuring your only method of navigation, preventing you from traveling the direction you want, or simply destroying your vessels
not so much a HFY premise, I just think the age of sail is neat, and the concept that other races might've advanced to something like a level of basic steam engine technology and refrigeration *at minimum* before attempting to cross continents

To add some "lore accuracy" to sexy Mindflayers

Every once in a while, whether due to physical oddities or mental deviations, a minflayer gains a werid physical desire. This comes in the form of them preforming psionic rites to bring back former features of their "host" body. They regain primary and secondary sexual characteristics their body had before, both fully operational

Due to want and psionic power, former anatomy gets exaggerated in terms of proportions. They tend to become more well endowed then they once were and have higher sensitivity/libio than typical.

This strangeness seems to be mostly found amongst illithds whose bodies used to be female
Further psionic argumentation via psychometabolism is often common
>>
>>9247011
I prefer the worldbuilding along the lines of
>tell your buddies about the age of sail
>they look at you like you're making shit up
>Allum the Hlorbithian ask why didn't humans just pilot their stone islands across the helium vents like a glider
>suddenly realize that nobody explored their planet the same way
>Yarbo the Yaldabaoth says his people used to psychically project their minds into others across the world
>Yona 6 Tel Methox said her planet has a water ocean, but you just have to walk along the bottom until you get to the second oxygen atmosphere below the ocean below the FIRST atmosphere
Oh yeah, this is a porn board
>this is all casual banter as the three men run a train on Yona

There's a lot of stories of humanity meeting and befriend aliens that they can later fuck but where's the stories of humanity being the aggressors

Where is a story of humanity conquering planets and stars and enslaving the aliens that live there so that they can fuck them. Turning xeno women into sex slaves as they wish.

I wan tot see small kobold like creatures being picked and place on nobels dicks like ornate cocksleeves. Xenomorphs queens being bound and shown around like show horses . Squid-Octopus aliens being conscripted as relief stations for soldiers, giving 10-15 men tentacle jobs as they fight for the glory of Earth.

Is that so much to ask?
>>
>>9248114
I'm aware of two examples where it's mentioned almost offhand the humans are enslaving and raping the natives, The Word For World Is Forest and The Last Planet. In both cases unfortunately the locals are described as vaguely simian at best and they barely even figure in the latter.
>>
>>9248114
I can't think of many people who would enjoy reading a story where they are the villain.
>>
>>9248143
I mean there's plenty of Warhammer novels; plenty of Chaos protagonist novels.

Have the main character be a villian and it's more appealing. Could even put a HFY spin to it if wanted.

It doesn't seem all that terrible of an idea being a sultan with a harem of women

>>9248769
>Hmm would the trash thread also be a good place to post?
generally yes and also no, because sometimes the posting rate within those threads are faster, and the quality of the thread goes to shit. also, once something falls off the ass end of trash (which happens if the board is flooded with new threads; from mod actions to move threads to the literal trash board) it's gone with no temporary archive like /aco/ has. (unless you use desuarchive org, or a similar 4chan scraper/archive website)

... and you also have to typically pass through the rest of that boards' media to get to the thread you actually want to see; though if you type the thread name after the board name in the web url you can shortcut to a thread search function for that board (boards4chanorg/aco/xeno will search aco for this thread or any thread with 'xeno' in the title)

I wrote a short story about an alien race called the Breese... When they left their planet for earth it appeared through their telescopes that earth had yet to develop intelligent life a perfect place for a new colony, During their long journey to the planet Humanity evolved and by the time they arrived to earth we were advanced enough to wage war...

It was breif and very one sided as the Breese wiped out massive swaths of the human population... Of course they had no intention to do so... as they decide to cultivate some humans in preservations the same way humanity had done so with endangered species...

They provided humans with everything they could ever want and need (call it colonizer quilt) and for a while its great... humans unburdened by all responsibilities create works of art and culture but after a while it really stagmates...

No conflict kinda leads to laziness and lack of motivation....

The short story is 4 pieces on in-universe nonfiction as it follows the subsequent human populations post war adapting to the new world.

The first piece is a human college student writing a history piece... Its full of Breese propaganda but he doesnt really know because for these new humans its not really propoganda because they have no history other than the ones the Breese gave them...

The next piece is an excerpt of human writing from one of the preservations written 2000 years later... the quality is much worse... Humans without pressure kinda devolved intellectually This is documented by a breece research student leading a program trying to reverse this and bring humanity back to its former self...

The next piece is 2000 years later... Its a short poem written by a adult human about how much they love their Breece caretaker by our standards its as if a 5 yr old wrote it... Its one of the last peices of legible human writing ever recorded but it goes unnoticed...
>>
>>9250124
The last piece is not written by a human but by a breese 2000 years passed the previous piece... They're a renown human breeder/trainer Its an excerpt from an article giving advice on adopting your first human... I pretty much wrote word for word dog-esque pet advice on caring for your human... Humanity is gone, replaced by a barely conscious race of animal like pets for the Breese.

I was considering writing a final peice in the format of a degenerate chatroom writing about having sex with humans in the same way humans wrote about zoophilia... talking about wether humans have enough intelligence to consent...
>>
>>9250127
Anyways in my mind the breese were just really tall generic aliens but I want to give the more,,, any advice on what they should look like? I know what their personality is like... but their physical form escapes me.

Here's chapter 41 of The Howler!

I don't think this leaves much question of what the final chapters will look like. It's okay. He's made it this far. I'm sure they're in good hands.

Also, I've got even more art!
This time it's of Nestiri. I really love this one. I wanted to make him a bit of a martyr figure, since he's meant to be the ideal Fyrix who still has faith in the system even as it's chewed him up and spat him out. The setting sun makes a bit of an aureole, but I didn't want it to be explicitly christian so instead of a cruciform I went with the radiance as flower petals. Then you have the goopy background, and even though it's meant to be the plants and sun of the bleeds, it's also his faith being eroded away as he struggles to remain the virtuous Fyrix he was. He's going through some shit.

Awesome Nestiri portrait, i hope it gets integrated into the proper page like the other artwork did.
I really hope you provide some more detailed descriptive guidelines for the visual look (or even get some artwork done) of the other alien sophonts on the Council... Not just to get more artwork, but because I enjoy the idea that they're all (adorably) nearly-toy-sized compared to a human.

So that when a human diplomat steps into the room to see them all assembled together and they would say "We can destroy your world, you must fear us and behave yourself in outer space." and the human diplomat is inwardly admitting to themselves "Holy shit, how is it that ALL of these aliens are so adorable? Don't smile like an idiot, DON'T SMILE! Be neutral. A few look like giant bugs? How is that possible-... But you're a serious diplomat! Not a tourist gawking at the zoo animals. (But that one is the cutest!) NO YOU IDIOT IT'S A PERSON LIKE YOU, DON'T THINK LIKE THAT-"

Then something in their brain snaps for a moment like that time they were in boot camp and the drill instructor caught them smiling, but they returned to an almost normal expression just as quickly, and in the most strained outward voice possible, says "Yes, of course we will comply with your statutes regarding artificial intelligences, and [blah blah blah]..."
While holding back the urge to practically rush over to their chosen victim, body guards be damned, pick up the miniaturized murderous politician threatening omnicide, and then borderline molest them in front of everyone in the room.
Non-sexually molest. More like petting a cute animal.
>(With the victim pretending to not like it)
>(Sexually)

ANYWAYS a few editorial concerns in the text:
> It is excellent opportunity to
maybe missing 'an' before excellent.

> twitch in momentary ear, but he
probably missing the 'f' for 'fear'

Also, lmao i think Nestiri is going to need more ammo.

Okay well I guess the pic is gone, sacrificed to the tablet gods or whatever.

So I drew a new one.
>The Kunla Novi were found on a low gravity world with where the plant life formed large broad leafed trees that choked out the sunlight on the surface of the planet. Tall bipedal omnivores, they lived in the temperate zones of their world. The entire biosphere is choked with new forms of life that is constantly evolving and mutating, making competition with local wildlife very fierce. Kunlave evolved two sets of ears to make them hyper aware of their surroundings, and eyes sensitive to light, this renders them near blind under sunlight, and makes even firelight painful to adjust to. They have a symbiotic relationship with a number of bacterial species, that metabolize toxic food into something they can digest. This digestion of toxic chemicals manifests in colonies of bacteria glowing under their skin, and over the many millenia, these colonies formed pattern clusters where the Kunla's immune system is less active. This metabolism allows them to process alcohol, requiring much more potent liquors to get drunk.

>Since their uplift and addition to the Initiative, they were able to skip thousands of years of evolution. Their eyes now have a second set of lenses that protects them from an oversaturation of light, effectively serving as sunglasses in bright light. The can now control their ears for better attunement. This fine control allows them to use their hearing in a variety of different ways, from medical to engineering. They take on the roles of doctors and mechanics, as they can hear blockages in your blood stream, minor creaks that indicate damage before damage occurs, and even determine changes in your body's chemical balance by the sound your heart makes.

>Pictured: a Kunla Nurse on vacation on a nature reserve with her human mate. She is a big fan of skinny dipping, and can hear his racing pulse on shore

I knew this was gonna happen eventually. It remains to be seen how they will fight. Will it be the Mongol Horde or the Vietnam Guerrilla? Will the Howler die tragically or will he pull a Nature of Predators and destroy the system through overwhelming violence? Will humanity have enough plushies and books to successfully reintegrate him into society or will he spend his retirement in the Bleeds? Will Nestiri get a pardon for failing to stop a schizophrenic offworlder from destroying his home?
>>
>>9252565
>or the Vietnam Guerrilla?
Something tells me that it's going to be really interesting to find out what the general population of Luoma will do when they realize that all those exiles to the bleeds who were supposed to die there, were actually surviving and having children and building a parallel society instead... and the only thing that those children did was have the rotten luck of being born on a planet that has leadership running a secret-to-everyone apartheid state, where the half of the state that they were born into is an open air zoo-prison filled with wild predatory carnivorous animals... and when those innocent children were not being hunted by those animals, they were getting their parallel pre-industrial society gassed with presumably lethal fumigants or chopped apart by hunter-killer manhack drones controlled by the other wild predatory animal that's in charge of the other portion of Luoma.

>Will the Howler die tragically
Only as tragically as an imaginary friend can die.
Technically, the Howler has to die in order for Eigen Morris to regain his life.

>Will Nestiri get a pardon
Considering he pressed the gun to his head a few chapters ago, the only person he's going to have to really seek a pardon from is himself.

That is unfortunate because she's actually on the average side of things.
Once I flesh out her frame because she's meant to be equally willowy but also with inhumanely-wide hips and standing posture, the breasts will also defy gravity alongside both pairs being equal size and will likely make them look bigger because it's the only enjoyable way to avoid the mutli-boob unsexy-sag issue that occurs otherwise.

I tried my best!
I'm really not the best artist, and I'm really incapable of doing half these ideas justice, but I did what I could to show some of the stuff in my head. There's a few missing, namely the semi-translucent and amphibious Vextrids (Also the Myrmids are here even though their representative hasn't talked yet), Some are certainly better than others. If I was going to do anything serious I'd definitely redesign the Arborans and the Furocules, (and maybe the Aliu a bit) but it's good enough for a few hours of doodling. Quillion gets the most effort because he's a main character.
I'm curious how much it differs from what you thought they looked like

Nice art of the moment prior to Nestiri pointing the gun directly at his forehead, as stated near the end of Chapter 20:
> " My teasing finger looped neatly into the trigger of my old service pistol. Simply having this was risking a permanent trip to the bleeds, but holding this felt like having something close to control. "
> " I pointed it at my forehead to test the feeling. It didn't feel right. Not yet at least. I let my arm drop and stared at the sky as it started to rain. "

Considering this moment a bit more, I think he still intends to end his life; just at some later point. Definitely after he's done what he has wanted to since losing his social position, after meeting The Howler and failing to secure/re-capture him...
The whole scene also demonstrates that the Fyrix applying clinical immortality to remove old-age deaths might have been a mistake, as it basically dooms everyone to suffer a death brought about only by violence. Or self-violence.
I wonder how many Fyrix just tire of living and just decide to quit living. Their government probably keeps that number a little bit of a secret, if only from everyone else... Can't have any flaws in your perfect garden society.

...
Also considering the scale of a Fryix body to a human's, that gun has gotta be like, what? Some kind of .22? or a .32? Certainly not larger than a .38 caliber.

Thanks, I certainly wasn't expecting art of the noodle I drew in 15 seconds and discarded, lmao. I kind of wanted a noodle race, but I was like... they'd need prehensile arms to be a race important enough to be on the council, wouldn't they...? but I lacked the will and most importantly, ability, to reconcile that without just making a viper or ripping off Tateoftot's noodle. It's not that you did anything wrong, noodles! I might shove some noodles in elsewhere. The Myrmids were a lot cooler in my imagination, but there's a certain charm to their derpy appearance here.
I'm really happy with the Turbs, and the Klett. I'd definitely refine the Konoi a bit, and the others a lot, but I'm happy with them. I tried to make them all a bit more unique since the Fyrix are fairly standard bipedal bugs. I know it's funny considering where I'm posting this, but I don't really design for sex appeal, (Not to imply the Fyrix aren't sexy, I mean look at that abdomen.) I'm a lot more into the cultures of funny goobers, but even so, I feel like it's more meaningful if your alien infatuation isn't totally attractive by human standards. It's part of the fun when their personality makes up for any differences, or when you've got to work through some incompatibilities.

Problem is originally they were just designs meant to fill a Stellaris roster, so some do look pretty alien, others are just some variation of anthros in space to fill out the species spectrum.

Yeah, it might have been more helpful to draw one of the aliens that are actually in the story.
But like I said: I really like wedge faced snakes, so that's the one I got a hankering to draw. It's... also possible that they are a whole lot easier to draw as well, and thus something that a lazy asshole can just throw together a fan-art of pretty quickly.

I actually pondered the space-sophont arm situation while I was drawing them too. It's always a tricky topic, since keeping noodles completely serpentine also has a lot of allure. And I imagine it'd be hard to make them an uplift who sometimes wear tech-arm-collars, without having the bio-modification and uplift averse council just glass them out of shame.
>>
>>9255480
I am so glad I already had this snake in a suit idea.
I've been applying it to all my non-humanoid species because designing mechs, tools, and exoskeletons to deal with societal issues such beings would face is fun as fuck.
>>

More likely their home environment would be arranged to suit their natural form with some mechanical assists, and exoskeletons and other helping devices would be a product of coming in contact with off-world eras and needing to integrate with their facilities.

Seeing as how one guy posted his idea of a xeno-girl story I wanna post my idea of a semi-unique scifi setting I've been having in my head (to facilitate alien fucking)

Classically, humanity has properly entered the space age and is on their way to fully colonizing the solar system. Good amount of tech, smart logistics, etc. But they haven't cracked a method of proper ftl yet, and thats dragging them behind they believe. They can't seem to put the right amount of math together to get past the light speed problem
In an effort to figure out how to develop ftl they preform a test with a new piece of technology they made - it both does and doesn't work. It doesn't work in that it doesn't lead to ftl, but they do discover another universe.
It's not another universe in that it's another timeline - instead its the discovery thant when the Big Bang happened it didn't just create one universe but dozens of them. Universes where the pattern of matter spread was different. What's more it's seems that galaxies tend to stack on one another in.
Immediately surrounding our solar system in the other universes were other star systems. Some were quarter of a light year away, others half, some right on top of ours
This is what leads to humanities new found ability to see new worlds and meet other species

I know it sounds like round about space travel but I think it could work.

>non-humanoid alien women from another planet
Seems pretty xeno to me. Is it like they go to a parallel earth and it's populated by reptilian cave bitches, or like the Mist where otherworldly entities end up being able to go from planet to planet?

More akin to mist, or more accurately half-life.
The other dimensions exist and are traversible to, and they have their own space faring species

It's a Stepping sideways kind of travel
>>
>>9252474
Legit would have been better than what they actually went with
>>
>>
>>9256826
Just curious, is it like you leave earth, go to the Stargate portal in orbit, and then land on alt-earth? Or is it like, you go to the travel agency and they have a portal in the back room, and big shipping companies have big potals in warehouses?
Also, any ideas for the xenos one might encounter? I'm curious, i like this premise.
>>
>>9257490
Its like the later but with Ships
They tried to make ftl engine, failed, and created dimensional hoppers by accident

And its not exactly alt-earths. They have their own history and galactic shapes. The galaxy in the next universe is shape like a bar while another like a cats eye.

As for aliens the ones for the specific story I initially created had artlegionary's Cyth, a shellless turtle like shortstack, crustacean girl, mushroom collective mind "twins", and a weird creature that looked like a cross between a ocean flatworm and a jellyfish with a human face at the front

a "partnership" with both sexual and asexual beings would be entirely one-sided from a pleasure standpoint. though asexuality doesn't always mean lacking emotion or empathy. an intelligent being would recognize a sexual being's physical needs and improvise to that effect.
>>
>>9258150
The asshole isn't a sexual organ, yet anal is a popular sexual act.
If an alien has a hole and no pole, its a goal. This alien may even find a surprising amount of enjoyment from the act.
>>

>Lock yourself in a room, take out a blow-up doll fashioned in their likeness with protrusions or orifices added and fuck it
Uhh... Why don't your ask your xenogf just to lay still? I guess she would understand that it feels good to you.
>>
>>9258150
Have you considered cuddling and exploration?
>>
>>9256403
>cross-universe exploration
What a coincidence, I'm exploring that concept too. Namely the theory that blackholes are a self-contained Big Bang and another universe is inside them, essentially creating an endless nesting doll of blackhole-to-universe reproduction, and humanity chooses to explored this universe with new tech that lets them actually enter a blackhole without spaghettification.

It's not without incident, the process damages the ship, and the project is essentially cut off from our universe? Forced to live out the rest of its existence in the new one.

Rules are similar enough, but the humans quickly discover that well over billions of years have passed, with some theorizing the entire life cycle of the inner universe exists inside the blackhole as well, and that through means they do not yet grasp, they simply plopped in on a specific point on the timeline.

All this of course is just a backdrop to humans building a new society in this universe that favors alien harems(a lot of societies they encounter have gender ratios that favor multiple females with one male)
>>
>>
>>9257507
>>9256403
I'm this anon >>9257490 >>9256594 and I ALSO have a xenophilic setting where interstellar travel is done by wormhole. Tech levels are relatively similar across all planets, with some spikes and dips here and there, and travel is mostly done for the sake of science and tourism.

>>
>>9258973
Valbarans, Brokers and Jarilans are top tier.
>>
>>9258753
The latter part is what the main reason for interstellar travel is for, as well as trade
But there's no portals. Star systems are VERY rarely stacked together (dimensionally wise) so having a portal would be like linking the Arabian desert to the Airzona Desert.
But to make it look different and interesting a dimension hopper requires the ship to go through a motion of diving, breaching into some in-between and then back out into some other universe.

Valbarans... is pretty hot yea... I like find their culture and lifestyle more attractive than anything else...

JARILIANS.. im pretty opinionated... I can fuck a bug alien... I can fuck a human... I cant fuck a human-bug hybrid... I dont know why its just... grosses me out... Anyway, I'm stuck in the hospital caring for a family member. Might as well post some stuff I draw while they sleep:
>Humans
>There are few intact records of humanity and Old Earth, but it is known, they had uploaded their engram, surviving as replicants in data to reduce space requirements for living arrangements and sustainment. In the digital space, where their minds were limited by hardware, they were able to think faster, process far more information, and essentially achieve a higher state of existence.
>But bybthe time they arrived, the ship(Novian Initiative) had sustained catastrophic damage. The personalities were broken, some even driven insane as the hardware holding essential parts of their mind were scorched away.
>They came to the First System outoff desperation, but stayed out of altruism

Not as good as my usual drawings, but I'm doodling on a notepad against a wall.

>New Human(Novus)
>Taller, stronger, faster, and genrally better, the Novus were originally synthetic bodysleeves, engineered by humanity for the long journey with the intent of manipulating the physical with meat puppets as needed. As such the Novus body is designed to take a beating and recover rather quickly afterwards to minimize inconvenience. They are all male presenting as humans only intended to use them temporarily, there was never a drive to customize their appearance.

The trek left the original vessel damaged, and had degraded a lot of the digitized personalities. Rather than letting them persist as some broken creature in data form, the first human bio-droids were hastily edited with the intent of being a living breathing organism, not a single use puppet. The damaged people had their data altered. Memories that could not be recovered were erased, along with any connecting memories that might trigger a relapse. Personalities and mindsets that were rendered incomplete were cut away, leaving these people closer to a baseline human as they no longer had the expanded minds of digitized space. Memories were added to believe they were always flesh and blood humans to ease transition, and then they were downloaded to waiting bodies and activated for testing.

>The first batches were not always a success. Some people woke up still insane. Some didn’t wake up at all. Their minds were pulled from the bio-droids, and investigated. It was not a universal problem that could be solved with a single solution. Some had an issue with their conscious-matrix. Sometimes it was an issue with the data transfer. Sometimes the problem stemmed from the body.

>Multiple iterations occurred. Engrams were cloned and edited, reintroduced to new batches, and attempted again. Over and over until they awoke stable and healthy. The clones showed enough personality and memory drift that accusations of doppelgangers never occurred.

>Tomilaren
>The first race contacted by humanity. The Tomilaren are bipeds that evolved on a world overtaken by dense foliage blocking out much of the sunlight. Everything living beneath their dense canopies, including the Tomilaren, adapted to a world that had to make its own illumination.

>Tomilaren have specialized cells that had long ago absorbed lux-operan bacteria as illum organelles that serve specifically to illuminate these patterned cell clusters under the skin.

>A sudden shift in the global climate led to many of their hunted species going extinct, and many trees choking the life out of the plants the Tomi used for farming. Surviving Tomilarens had turned on each other out of hunger, even resorting to cannibalism or blood sacrifice to gods in hopes of giving them bountiful harvests.

>By the time humanity arrived, what had once been countless civilizations and city states had been reduced to a few isolated pockets of survivors sheltering in the ruins of their ancestors, unable to comprehend what they had lost.

>Tomi-Novi(us)
>Descendants of surviving Tomilaren who were captured first for study, then for assimilation to prevent a genetic bottleneck. Their metabolism is more controlled, capable of digesting a wider range of plant and animal matter. Their intelligence, once stunted by generations of malnutrition, was elevated back to pre-apocalyptic levels. Their once aggressive streak that made the Tomilaren fight at the drop of a hat, was tempered to a competitive drive that saw the Tomi Novi seek to out-perform their peers.

>The first species to join the Novian-amalgam, they were made compatible with the human genus, as part of Humanity's plan to ease the assimilation of novus and alien populations on the same world.
>The Tomi, thankfully, took to this new paradigm with gusto. The taller Novus had all the factors the Tomi-at the most primordial level- seek in a mate. And the Novus? Well, most if not all the Novus started exhibiting attraction since day 1.
>The species saved, Tomi and Novus would spend the next few centuries racing up the tech tree, forming a society that was capable of space flight in record tome to find the humans who saved them. Only to find the ship had long gone.
>Now calling themselves the Novian Initiative, they set out to find their creators/ancestors/saviors, following the original vessels trail through the stars.

Proof of concept
>>
>>9259498
This is actually one of the stories I'm considering ( this anone btw >>9258513)

Wondering which one I should focus on first
>story of a lost human crew trying to find their way home after an experimental warp test goes wrong, collecting new aliens on the way home. Basically Star Trek Voyager if it actually took advantage of its premise
Or
>an atomic but not space-worthy society is getting uplifted by humans, but it is from the perspective of an alien freedom fighter who thinks the humans have come to enslave her species. More of an intrigue story that explores her culture and society, and how its constant warring have made them so paranoid that she starts to doubt her mission and her memories

The distinctly non-human creatures are in the former story
