>watch numerous guides on the internet
>try the military method
>try some breathing stuff
>try to listen to relaxing music/ambience
>try physical excessive
>don't drink anything caffeinated
>limit screen time before bed
But none of it works, it takes me anywhere from three to four hours to fall asleep, is my only option pills? I better not have the fucking prion that makes you unable to sleep and die.

Maybe do something useful with your day, so when you go to bed you're actually tired.

Even if I spend the whole day working, the moment I lay down all the tiredness leaves my body.
>>
When do you wake up after not falling asleep after 3 hours? If it also is delayed then I would suggest sleep restriction therapy where you set a specific time for getting up (7am) combined with one for going to bed (1am) and then increase it gradually.

None of these shit works if you're depressed.

The only way to fall asleep fast is to be dead ass tired.

On work days I wake up at seven am due to my alarm, weekdays without an alarm I can range anywhere from four hours to twelve hours of sleep

I doubt that's the case. You probably spend your whole day jerking and shit posting.
If you are indeed saying the truth, I would advise you to consult a doctor and make sure there's no tumor pressuring your brain.

>How to fall asleep fast?
I watch the swirls of color inside my eyes (random noise) and they evolve into interesting patterns, and next thing I know, it's hours later (if I need to get up to pee).

Physical exercise works. a 3.5km to 5km walk at a brisk pace will do it. Try to get your 3.5km walks at a 6.5km/hr or above. I do 7km/hr pace on average. I can go faster but my knees and shins ache after and the impact on the body isn't worth the return. A 6.5km/hr walk is kinda slow but the minimum pace to work up a sweat.

Do this 3x a week and 4 if you can squeeze it in. Your goal is to do this in under 32 minutes. 30 minutes is a doable goal. You don't want to run. Just fast walk. Running will fuck up your body. Fast walking (rage walking) will give you all the benefits your body needs and will definitely help improve your sleep amongst your mental well being, confidence, fitness, everything...you'll be surprised how this little change in lifestyle will impact your sleep in a good way.

Do it in a nice park if possible. Keep a phone journal. Watch your distance add up. It's addicting. Treadmill will work too but you need high energy music or a TV show to take the mind off the task. Time will fly then.

Turn on a small fan. One that won't irritate you with it's sound but will blow a nice cool air on you. Most people sleep better when the room is cool, not freezing or too hot, but cool. Maybe your quilt or duvet is too warm? Try a lighter one. Try better pillows.

Melatonin works too but it is very dependent on the brand and quantity taken. So get a good quality brand. Too much of it and it will mess up your sleep. Too little and nothing happens. 2.5mg works for me. But because I rage walk I don't need melatonin very often.

>Breathing stuff
Probably all wrong advice.

Lay on your side, breathe faster and quieter like you were trying to stop your heart, knocks me out within seconds

Usually when I hear the complaint about not being ablw to sleep, the person is on some kind of meds. What meds or recreational drugs are you on?
>>

Force yourself into a standard waking hour.

No matter how long you've slept, or when you fell asleep, wake up at the same time every day for a week

Take two magnesium tablets an hour before bed. Cheap and works.
Glutamine powder an hour before bed works great but is definitely expensive.
