I do agree that maintaining the high road over someone that is this pathetic is ideal to show maturity over the other's childish tantrums and manipulative posting. I do think mirroring the poison back has helped but it could be misinterpreted as well.

It's important that I maintain my mental energy progressing in life here as well. I'm really grateful for everything I have and where I'm at in life. It helps to stop and acknowledge gratefulness for all I've achieved.
