I truly believed, at the time, that it didn't matter if I had sex before marriage. I ended up going in a different direction than this woman, and I turned to smoking as a replacement for sex. However, I notice that most of the people I meet in my generation seem to be smoking weed, drinking alcohol, partying, being influencers, cheating in academia, and lying about anything. I believe in the context of humanity being in a fallen state and sinners.I am experiencing trouble from my direct family just because I am smoking nicotine and tobacco. I get told everyday to quit smoking. I refuse. Making a life for God translates to making a good life for yourself as an indirect consequence. Virtue and wisdom naturally orientates you towards a good life. That life will never be what you expect either, God gives us what we need not what we want etc. But yeah I would strongly encourage anyone to pick up their cross and go follow Christ, because it’s better to be spiritually living than being living dead.

The verse is talking about the message of the gospel. The gospel causes conflicts, because Jesus said he is the truth, the way and the life, nobody can go to the father except though him.
