Would any 4chan experts like to share an analysis on the following verses?Matthew 10:35–36For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household.Luke 12:51-53Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”>ContextMost of Generation Z grew up with a smartphone in their hands. In 2025, propaganda, media, memes, and information has culturally accelerated. As a follower of Jesus and a member of The Body of Christ, I only know of my own sins. I suffered an attack from Satan in the mind. I also committed fornication with my first girlfriend because we were not married. I truly believed, at the time, that it didn't matter if I had sex before marriage. I ended up going in a different direction than this woman, and I turned to smoking as a replacement for sex. However, I notice that most of the people I meet in my generation seem to be smoking weed, drinking alcohol, partying, being influencers, cheating in academia, and lying about anything. I believe in the context of humanity being in a fallen state and sinners.I am experiencing trouble from my direct family just because I am smoking nicotine and tobacco. I get told everyday to quit smoking. I refuse. I do not party, I do not cheat in school, I do not instigate fights, I do not prank people, I do not commit crimes, I do not slander others, I do not commit fornication, I do not lie, and I definitely don't instigate.Do any 4chan experts want to clarify what the aforementioned Holy Bible verses really mean in 2025?
>>33592347>I've come to say controversial stuffThat's all. He was right.
>>33592347He’s talking about the consequences of following Him = your family disowns you. This was especially true in Israel back then, even true today in Israel. If you become a Messianic Jew who declares Christ as Messiah, you lose your job, get disowned from family, even divorced. The point of the verses is Christ warning that if you choose to follow Him, you will lose a lot for His name. I lost a couple friends and an ex girlfriend for my conversion. Was worth it all though, Christ is King.
>>33592347I live in legion with natural order of nature. Jews and gang of professional God lovers created religion for purpose of usury. It is very simple business plan: people go to church and then go out with less money in their pockets for suggested to imagine reasons. Something that you would like to talk about, make sense only, if people will donate money after meeting. Morality is a practical rationality with intention to serve life or "traffic rules" for life. Fuck around is like speeding, very fun just you go with that not far. You are here just because we all are here. You have unique gift, find what it is and give it to us. That is your purpose.
>>33592347This anon is correct >>33592366These verses enphasize that Jesus came to preach the truth and that truth is not comfortable. It will create enemies and people will hate you for speaking the LORD's truth
>>33592347Stop smoking, you fucking idiot.
>>33592347>Matthew 10:35–36>For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household.Jesus was an evil jew who wanted you to hate your own family, it's not hard to understand. It's hard to accept if you're a good goy.
>>33592366Of, a lot of good things to lose. Did you at least gain something similar or “just” your faith? A lot of people actually don’t follow precisely because they don’t want to lose anything they have but it would encourage them if they would know if they can get better things afterwards.
>>33592347>Matthew 10:35–36Jesus is refering to the divisions which following Him will cause, Christ's teachings are unique and specific, and we ought to adhere to them, this means destroying the norms and customs which the gentiles followed. Ties well with Matthew 7:13-14 which asserts that not many will find the road to life.>Luke 12:51-53First off, these 2 are synpotic Gospels, Luke and Matthew both used Mark as source with documenting oral traditions, so the gospels overlap. It carries the same message. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God, so to us, putting God above all is the most important thing we have to do in life, as God is the reason for our existence, and God wills that we follow His way. Hence why Jesus tells us that God's teachings should be above all, our wealth, pride, even our families.Mark 10:28-30Matthew 19:29Luke 18:28-30Many will not accept this and will go back to their degenerate ways, remaining unrepentant until the end, including your own friends and family, so in a way this is an expression of what you could expect when you start following Jesus.Lastly about the part in addiction, there is no righteous person, not even one, the devil tempts us all the time, but he has no humility, humbling yourself in this degenerate world is probably the greatest thing you can do midst the prideful bunch who seek maximal satisfaction in life... Matthew 5 is good for context here.
>>33592347Although it has largely been written out of the bible, a big part of the historic Jesus's teaching was politically revolutionary (Why else would the Rome-based government be bothered by a local preacher?) These passages are leftovers from the part of his preaching that was a 1960s-style "Break with the past and start a new world" message.
>>33592879>Of, a lot of good things to loseNah not really. All it showed me is that I didn’t actually gain friends or a lover, they were so quick to reject me the minute I professed faith in God. Losing the false reality of friendship/relations with them was a blessing. Hurt at first though. >Did you at least gain something similar or just your faith?Made thrice as many friends later, and got a bride my now wife and a child of my own and most of all I gained the faith without faith I’d have been finished. >A lot of people actually don’t follow precisely because they don’t want to lose anything they have but it would encourage them if they would know if they can get better things afterwards.Faith is the only goal, anything you get after it isn’t guaranteed and I can’t say having faith will multiply your life or not, what I will say is life with faith increases your willingness to go and make a life for God. Making a life for God translates to making a good life for yourself as an indirect consequence. Virtue and wisdom naturally orientates you towards a good life. That life will never be what you expect either, God gives us what we need not what we want etc. But yeah I would strongly encourage anyone to pick up their cross and go follow Christ, because it’s better to be spiritually living than being living dead.
>>33592366>you lose your job as a messianic jew in israelThat’s because nobody who follow Christ would support the attrocities and the total disregard for human life, commited by Israel.
>>33593248crusadesinquisitions???
>>33593329(((Most))) Crusades were a defensive action and thus fully justified, the ones which were done in Europe due to political and non-religious reasons are attributed to the corruption of the leaders of said "crusades".Inquisitions were justified since they involved a multiple step process and dialogue and debate was always the first step. Inquisition always targeted Christians, or people who claimed Christianity despite heretical beliefs, no one else. If the heretic was unrepentant despite all the evidence , he deserved a punishment since he was twisting the church and thus destabilising unity. Granted, there were some cases where this was not always fair and the Catholic Church has apoligised for those cases, but in 99% of cases excomunication and inquisition were justified.
>>33593486>due to political and non-religious reasons are attributed to the corruption of the leaders of said "crusades".a corrupted follower of christ is still a follower of christ, maybe even more so in line with the types he associated with >If the heretic was unrepentant despite all the evidence , he deserved a punishment since he was twisting the church and thus destabilising unity.>t-they DESERVE ITPalestinians and Israelites deserve total war with each other (ironically this is the highest regard for human life -- the realization that you can't just slay a civillian's countrymen and never expect vengeance) with each other but we won't let Israel just glass them because of feelings and money
>>33592347I won't read biblical exegesis threads on an advice board.
>>33592347>Matthew and Luke Analysis>I am experiencing trouble from my direct family just because I am smoking nicotine and tobaccoThe verse has nothing to do with you being a druggie. The verse is talking about the message of the gospel. The gospel causes conflicts, because Jesus said he is the truth, the way and the life, nobody can go to the father except though him. Most people don't want to accepts that, and when you tell them the gospel, they are put against you.
