I realized I only really need my car about 5% of the time I travel. I work nearby, most days I just go to work, grocery store, then home.
I only NEED my car a few times a month to visit my family a few towns over or if I have to pick up/drop off something big.
I'm wasting money on gas and putting miles on my car needlessly. Also I've tried my friend's e-bike and it was a lot of fun.
Is the Aventure 2 a good e-bike for me? I like the fat tire style because it's so versatile, and this one seems really good for the price. It's also on sale right now.

i just want to remind everyone cyclists have always been this way

well I live in a small town. My car tells me my average speed is 28mph and that's how fast this bike goes, so why keep using my car unless I need to?
I'll save money on gas, I won't be putting miles on my car, and they're fun.
Also I live up North and this fat tire model can handle the snow easily

>tires weigh 4x more

I looked up the specs and I see that it is 750W. Does that require vehicle registration and a driver's licence? It would in most places, where the typical maximum power is 250W for licence-free and registration-free use on public roads.

In nearly every country, the Pedelec standard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedelec is the rating of e-bike whose legal status is the same as a bicycle. That is what I have and it suits me perfectly.

Fat tyres are a fashion thing. They just add weight.

Occasional car use can be had by joining a carsharing club (rental by the hour): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carsharing where you do the booking with an app and you just walk up to the car, perhaps parked in the street, and open and start it with your phone.

Anon, if someone was asking about a model of car would you troll them with a picture like this?
>>
I bought a Senada ebike 10 months ago and have already put 1500 miles on it. But I think they went out of business.
I wasn't sure whether I would even ride the thing when I bought it but is is much more fun than a car.
Sometimes I will drive somewhere, pull my bike out and ride 30 miles around and cover and entire town. Really gives me an intimate feel that you couldn't see with a car
Go on a slick deal website where good deals are posted and you can get a similar ebike to the one in the picture for around $500.
A 20" is perfectly fine.
Fat tires are good for stability but you don't really need them. They are good on all terrain but actually suck in the snow.

only reduces milage by about 5 miles. These bikes get around 65-75 miles on a full charge. With smaller tires you get 70-80.
>versatile?
Can ride it on the street, offroad, in the rain, or even in the snow.
I live in a cold area so being able to ride in the snow is important.

Nope. Out of the box it's preset to class 2 e-bike, meaning 20mph max with pedal assist. If you connect it to the app, you can turn it to 28mph with pedal assist, but throttle-only is capped at 20mph regardless.
You can tweak it to get it to go around 35mph

>They are good on all terrain but actually suck in the snow.
Is that your experience?
Typically fat tires are way better in the snow compared to regular bike tires.
You could do studded tires but it's annoying if you live in an area where one day it's snowy and the next day the snow is gone.
Maybe you had the PSI too high? You should lower the PSI a bit for riding in the snow. It makes a huge difference.

Chad automobile enjoyer
i mean look at this top cunt

So the tweaks would make it illegal on public roads? Okay, you're at risk of being stopped for a roadside test. The police do that in a couple of countries I know of.
>>
>>33606515
yeah I live in the US our cops don't care. That's more of a European thing. They'll turn a blind eye if a muslim immigrant rapes a child but if they see an e-bike traveling suspiciously fast they'll detain them and test for speed limiters.

The legislation will eventually catch up, after a few incidents that get in the news and draw attention, like the delivery boys crashing into and injuring people. Your selfish, sociopathic type reminds me of the people who would disable catalytic converters in order to get a little more performance from a car.

Just get a faggio or a 300cc dual sporp. They sip fuel and you won’t look like a complete douche on the scoot or not like a douche at all on the dirt bike with the on-road signals and gubbins
