My hair feels impossible to care for. No matter what conditioner or products I've used, it's always tangled, impossible to run my hands through, dry, and just feels "off". When I go outside it gets caught in my backpack straps and pulls on my head, but it's too course to tie back. If I'm out for a while it becomes matted and frizzy. I've tried different leave in conditioners, creams, and gels, but it always reverts back to the same state. Is this fixable? I really want to have long hair but it's getting extremely frustrating to deal with. Please help

Will it help the problem of my hair being impossible to run my hands through?
>>
Cut it short
Braid it
Leave it alone

ofc it will

You can get your hair "permanently" chemically straightened. It's kinda expensive but it lasts years.

I don't even really want straight hair though I just want it to be less fucking painful to deal with.

::Laughs in jewfro:: I'd probably kill to have your hair instead of mines.
But what I really wanted to say is: Look at youtube tutorials.
How can hair be too "course" to tie back? That is physically impossible. The only thing that prevents hair from being tied back is it being too short.
> When I go outside it gets caught in my backpack straps and pulls on my head
So does everyone else's hair?
I guess look at black girl advice: E.g. Tie up and wrap your hair at night so it comes out in good shape.
You sound like you naively assume you should be able to live like a cartoon character, just roll out of bed with perfect hair everyday. It's normal to actually have to put effort into your hair.

>How can hair be too "course" to tie back?
It's not, it just looks terrible when I pull it back so I never tie it back.

Stop using shampoo and conditioner. Your body will naturally adjust. Use water, frequently comb, and maybe use something like coconut oil every so often to rehydrate it.
Modern cosmetics are filled with endocrine disrupting chemicals that will either cause hair problems or baldness.
Go the natural way, the way literally all men used to do it before industrial bullshit.

>frequently comb
I can't without using conditioner.
>>
>>33619127
not really, all the advice im refusing to spoon-feed you can be found on youtube. copy+paste the subject of this post into google

How long does it take for your scalp to adjust? I have straight hair which gets oily really fast so I have to shampoo frequently. I want to try it but a month of greasy hair sounds like a pain.
