I got myself a e250 in a trade deal and now I don't know what to do with it. Intially I just think, sell it and be done. However the one I got is unbelievably clean. No nasty shit or gnarly rust. Which could be a selling point, however I wonder if I could hypothetically make more money by using said van rather than selling said van.My career doesn't really have a use for it so it'd be a side hustle or gig. Thoughts? Am I overthinking this? Should I just get it gone instead of toying with the idea of using it to make money?>First thought was offer motorcycle moving services or rescue services Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this to look for advising about this. It only made sense for me.
>>33619022UPS Season Vehicle Driver. Any spacious vehicle can be used for UPS, they pay upwards of 20$ and hour, and you can use it to supplement your income. Gas and repair might be a bitch though, so make sure it's running well. You can also rent it out as a "Niche hippy sleeping unit" somehow if you were to own property, yuppies love unusual hotel experiences.Looks like a great travel van, I'm sure it's probably better to keep it if you can store it properly when not using it.
>>33619164I don't think I got enough time to be a UPS driver like thatNiche bnb seems great but the cost may outweigh the pull. It's got the inline 6 ford engine so it's hard to kill, as for proper storage I only have a flat driveway at my home. No garage.
>>33619176You could put a cover over it so long as you have space in your driveway, though I'm sure you know how to take care of it.The UPS driver thing can be done as a supplement. I did it when I had my van and made a lot of money, but I also know some people who only came in to work for a few hours then dip out to another job. If you have mornings open, it's a great way to supplement your income, and they will work with you and your schedule.
>>33619188Hmm damn dude, I appreciate you. I think I'll keep that on the table for a option. How much did you make if you don't mind me asking?
>>33619252UPS PVD was 20$-21$ an hour, I ended up doing a lot of extra work for them, but I quit because they wouldn't give me more hours, and instead ended up hiring more drivers, pretty sure it was some incentive program that saved them on labor cost.In your case though, if you're just looking for something part time or supplemental, it'd probably be a good fit.Additionally, you could get by renting your vans space on like craigslist or something.I'd say do uber but they may have requirements on newer vehicles, and you don't want to have to deal with drunk people.
