I'm a diagnosed autist and I just went to the local college club yesterday for the first time in all my 3 years of attending this popular state school. I went in hopes of finding people to talk to and practice socialization but everyone in the club already seemed to have someone else to talk to. Most of the guys who were there looked like your typical frat bros and I am stuck here with my 240lbs fatass body. I was that awkward guy standing alone in the corner and I want to fix that. I really want to go again but I felt really out of place. I now know that I need to bring people along to not be that awkward guy who goes alone. Should I even bother at my age? Part of me says I'm too old and should grow up but a large part of me says that that's reddit talk and that I'm still young. I only have one more semester left with my bachelors so I feel like I should shoot my shot now more than ever. Should I just focus on losing weight and getting into shape? My parents are planning on moving to my college town by coincidence and I plan on re-applying to my university sometime in the future to further my education since I can afford it so it's not like I can't drop the weight and return.
