Do you act in your partner's best interest even if it is against your best interest? How is your relationship?

How can it be in my partner's best interest but not my own? Are we not partners? Do our interests not align?

often did. she disrespected me, lashed out at me, ghosted me, cheated on me and dumped me

Pretty much. I quit (online) sex work for my bf. Any people who would buy my content, I told them I quit, and if they didn't take no for an answer, I blocked them. I don't really think this is to my detriment either. I'm just way more broke these days, but I can at least sell art and work part time.
