how do you get a job with asd?being neet is making me anxious about the future
>Doesn't realize there are some jobs out there that actually kinda care about youLol did a woman write this?>how do you get a job with asd?Depends on how bad it is. If you're high-enough functioning, eventually you'll get the hang of interviews after you bomb enough of them. If you're visibly autistic though, you're screwed. The modern interview process and its obsession with surface-level things like appearance heavily discriminates against autistic people.
>>33635705>visibly autisticis there ANYTHING i can do?
>>33635683>there are some jobs out there that actually kinda care about youHello 1990
I'm in the same position you're in so I'm hoping someone in this thread is able to offer us advice.

volunteering and effort. even if you're visibly autistic if you have some experience and are enthusiastic about a role there's a good chance they'll overlook a few things.consider apprenticeships too.

>>33635915Pretty sure they are all music related. Face in the middle is Ween. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is on the right side. Not sure what the others are but I recognize them.

>>33635683You apply for the most social role you can get. Customer service/sales. Ironically, people with asd tend to enjoy and be pretty good at roleplaying a character. There's an expectation for you to not be wholly genuine and for some of your behaviors to be exaggerated when working in these roles. This can obscure some of your autistic quirks, especially if you trend to a more over-enthusiastic character archetype. The added benefit is that the social scenarios are predictable and repeated. The same customer service requests, the same types of calls, etc. You can put in a lot of social reps and learn techniques you can apply in wider social situations.

>>33635956>EnthusiasticNigger I have autism I have no idea how to be enthusiastic. Is it similar to rabid obsession at all?
>Doesn't realize there are some jobs out there that actually kinda care about youI have a job that is supposed to be like this and it's as cruel and indifferent as McDonalds was in high school.
>>33635956>working for freeno thank you
>>33647434Kind of. https://youtu.be/XP5lz2CYNR4?si=UzFAQOLqunacZP19If you can rewire your brain to feel and act like this about a customer service job you'll do great. Just try to promote to better jobs every year or two.
>>33635705define 'visibly autistic'. Be literal.
