After college I had to work a really shitty job before I could get a "good job". During this time, my parents let me borrow one of their cars for my commute.

The car broke down during the commute and we had to fix it. My aunt gave me 2k as a gift to put toward my student loans, and my father used that 2k to try to fix the car. He was not successful at fixing the car and when I grilled the mechanic, he implied that my father yelled at him continually and forced him to keep working even though he said he couldnt fix it.

My father told me I broke the car because I ran the AC when the engine was off. I have spoken to 50+ people about this and every time I bring this up, they say that is impossible and that I must know nothing about cars to think that.

My father sold this car for 3k last week. Should I be angry about this? I haven't been able to thank my aunt for the 2k she gave me because my father instructed me to lie about it to her.

I feel extremely angry and bitter about it. Not only did he sell the car, but he went and bought a 60k new car after. The car is not safe to drive, so it probably did need to go, but am I right or wrong to feel slighted?
