I have a mental illness and therefore have to spend the rest of my life as a wageslave with zero friends, how long should I meditate to lower my ego to the point that I think this is a life worth living?

What is the diagnosis of your condition?

>I have a mental illness and therefore have to spend the rest of my life as a wageslave with zero friends
Perhaps it could be said that the impediment does not directly result to the latter. For one, it could also be said that mental illness is "voted" into existence in a building or two somewhere, and voted out at inconvenience and societal pressure. Though it could be said that there is some standard of quantity or quality of chemicals and the frequency or absence electro pulses, it is for you and you alone to decide whether you are above some micro tolerance above or below the bar.

>how long should I meditate to lower my ego to the point that I think this is a life worth living?
The thinking-portion may not need be subordinate.
