Hello everyone, this is my first time here after wandering around the internet, maybe you guys will have some advice for me.

Do people need a really great or crazy reason to motivate themselves? I just turned 18, studying at university, of course I have plans for the future, but it also makes me feel meaningless. I went out to work, interacted with more people, but everything was still bad. I still had no interest or motivation in anything around me, I simply existed, reacted very normally to everything that happened, good or bad. I turned to cigarettes and love relationships but they were not very optimistic. Do you think I should come up with some crazy plan or change the world and stick to it even though it was very strange?

Perhaps motivation could be derived from simple and modest accounts. Motivation could be taken from something as simple as drinking a glass of water, or other everyday things if one finds these not beneath them.

It may be worthwhile.
