I am a naturally born (American) citizen but my gf lives in a country that is very against America, to the point that it is considered something of a motto. Can I get a security clearance? If not, what are my other options as an aerospace engineer?

I know a bunch of Iranians who immigrated to the US and they’re pretty much all pro-US. However, you can be damn sure that Iranian authorities are monitoring your communications with her, potentially not even just metadata. That’s if they know your ip is in a western aligned country. Basically just don’t talk about what you’re working on. Like I said though, clarify all that after you’re hired. Also idk if you want to be a design engineer or what but shop around a bit.
