Why the fuck am I so scared of just getting a job and being employed like a normal human being? I don't get it. It's something everybody in history has had to do and will continue having to do, and for a lot of people it's even a source of enjoyment, fulfillment, and genuinely who they are as a human being. Why am I so scared to just do it? I'm 28, nearly 29, and I'm still just horrified. It all feels like a stress-inducing mess just applying, all for simple jobs that everyone does. Hell, for stuff I've already DONE, I've had multiple jobs in the past. But now I've freaked out to the point of declining at least one job interview because I can't mentally handle it any more.

How do I just get over this weird anxiety and be a functional member of society?

Sometimes you should just do it. Do it while being scared. After doing it, you will look back on it and realize it wasn't a big deal, and you will grow from the experience.
