I hardly ever get good conversations with women I find attractive. It always feels forced almost, like I'm always overthinking what to say or how to respond. When I'm with my friends I never have trouble talking with them or anything, I can be myself. but whenever someone I either don't know, or I find attractive the social aspect of my brain seems to shut off completely and my personality goes away. anyone know why this happens and any ways to fix it?
I’m guessing that subconsciously you’re looking for validation and approval from the girl you’re talking to. Instead, you should approach interactions as opportunities to share your perspective. Sometimes there will be a connection, and other times there won’t—because of a combination of factors beyond your control.

Drink some alcohol. Not a lot. Not even enough to get you buzzed. Just barely enough to shut down the part of the brain that causes the social anxiety.
