I am quitting my job because I hate my boss. I agreed to work the last month because I still needed the money. My boss has hired a new maintenance technician in my place that our team has had to train. >she has no maintenance experience.>she has nearly no work experience. >she got fired from everywhere else within a few months.>she rarely shows up on time. If at all.At first, she was bad enough at the job that I genuinely believed she was trying to get fired so she could collect unemployment.I have since been proven wrong. The truth is far sadder.>this week she actually tried to apply herself. And continuously suggested the dumbest shit imaginable. >she spent hours trying to compress a spring to get a seal on, but kept insisting on taking the whole seal apart. Despite a lip being in place to hold part of it and this would be harder to get each ring back over. And she’s using her hands to hold pliers compressing the spring because lord forbid you just press the damn thing together by hand.>she managed to tighten half the bolts she was supposed to loosen. This was because pushing down on the wrench was easier. She could not figure out why one side of this circle wasn’t coming off. I explained the concept of turning things clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen and even tried the old righty tighty lefty loosely line. I don’t think this worked very well.>I had to actually fight her for control of a ladder we were hosting. She would not stop pushing the feet up.>I once had to explain that the angle grander she used was in fact the same angle grinder we used with the brush head. She watched the brush head be replaced with a blade head.>she once showed up late because she bought a 12 year old battery for her car.I firmly believe she has a learning disability that we don’t have time or patience to conquer. She’s learnt a little, but it’s going from a negative 5 to a negative one.So why is she working in maintenance?Cont

A black woman in the highest paid line worker position!So this mentality disabled young women is literally just a malicious compliance fuck you to the DEI department. I mean, she has a built in reason to be fired since she struggles to get to work.But this is still a really shitty way to use a person who could’ve easily been recommended to retail.As frustrated as I am, I still want what’s best for the autistic person. What can I possibly do to air her in getting a job that actually suits her? Or even trying to teach past whatever her disability is?

And it has to be this way because whole damn building we’re working on was designed by a fucking idiot who never thought about placing people or things inside.
