I have to get up 5 hours from now to go to work and I'm wide awake just like every night. Literally no matter what I do I can't fucking sleep at night, ever. If I sit in the dark with nothing, at least an hour and a half will pass and I'll still be awake, and now I want to die because I know a few hours from now I'll feel horrible with minimal sleep. I'm so sick of this.

'I can't sleep'
'may as well go on 4chan'
Stop bitching and turn your electronics off completely hours before bed

Actually you almost certainly DO sleep more than you realize, because a lot of that lying-awake time is dreaming of being awake. And the rest of the lying-awake is almost - admittedly not quite - as good for you as real sleep

Minimize blue light (which works against melatonin production) at least half an hour before sleep

Get sunlight early in the day to reset yr circadian rhythm

Don't drink coffee after noon (it has ~12hr halflife in the body)

Get some exercise (cardio is enough)

Meditate or journal if you have anxiety/trauma and your mind races before bed
