I sent her a text, asking if she'd like to get drinks, and she texted me back saying yes. I then texted her again, asking what days/times work best for her, and she never replied. I've had issues in the past where I sent a text message, and it didn't go through (I live in an area with very poor reception). I think that might've happened again today. What's the protocol here? How long do I wait, and what do I say? I was thinking something like,>Hey, not sure if you got my last text (my phone service is awful and sometimes messages don't go through). Just wondering what dates/times would work best for you, and if there was a specific bar or restaurant you'd like to meet up at.
>>33665026Yeah, that's a good text. I approve you doing this
>I sent her a sext.
>>33665044So when should I send it? My last text to her was 9 or 10 hours ago. It's currently nighttime here, so maybe in like 10ish hours, in midmorning?
>>33665026In the future, you should already have a date/time and venue proposed, don't put the onus of planning the first date on her. If she's busy but interested, she will give you a counter offer. If she just gives a vague excuse, she is not interested.
>>33665141Well, she already said yes. If she wasn't interested, she probably would never have given me her phone number in the first place.
>>33665141This. Don't ask her, tell her. >>33665153Do not ever expect women to be rational. I repeat: Do not ever expect women to be rational.
>>33665058Just send the original text again. If you write out a whole essay it's gonna put her off
>>33665026I won't read blow by blow streams of consciousness. Get to the point next time.
>>33665026Do it but suggest a bar you like or that looks good. Be more assertiveFirst sentence is good but second one is beta.
>>33665153>If she wasn't interested, she probably would never have given me her phone number in the first place. You must be new to this.
>>33665141This, we are still zugzug cavemen. The man should lead
>>33665026Instead of leaving it all to her, make a suggestion "How about Friday at 6 at Smoky Joes?" Then she either says yes or has to propose an alternative
>>33665720>>33666091I feel like, in this situation, it would be better to ask her the same thing again. We're assuming that she didn't get my message, but what if she actually did, and she replied, but I never got it? Then I'll basically be asking her to change her plans.
>>33666436I'd say, "Hey, if you don't know any good bars around here I know one, meet me at Jimmy Faggot's at 8".
>>33666436Did you get a message saying it wasn't delivered? Thinking she didn't get the text is cope.
>ask girl when she's free>Ahhh you spooked her and she ran away like a child! That's so fucking stupid. If a chick can't handle be asked an innocuous question without it all blowing up she's a fucking headache waiting to happen. You didn't do anything wrong op.
>>33669329You're completely missing the point. There's a difference between asking a girl when she's free and sounding like a limp-wristed faggot. You'd know this if you weren't autistic.
Say "hey my service is shit and messages don't go thru often, ________insert neg here (in case she ghosted you) I'd go with something playful and poking fun at her. Imagine your a guy reluctantly texting her back because you have better options
>>33669329You have no idea what you're talking about. There's a reason she ghosted OP.>>33669470That just comes across as butthurt and needy. The best option is for OP to just move on.
>>33665026>Has no plans for a first date>Wants the woman to be the man and sets the plans>Wonders why he's getting ghostedYou're in for a rough dating life.
