Need some career advice. How can I get a cushy decent paying job at like a bank?
Currently I'm about to turn 27, live in Queens NY, I have a bachelors in English, and I've been working for a year and 3 months currently for a place that rents out office spaces in midtown. I was a client service rep but I've just been promoted to a manager for one of the centers. I plan on staying here for like a year/year and a half and then searching for something else since Id like to make more money. Currently I'm salaried at 54000 but after bonuses and tips it's probably like 58000. I'm still living with my mom but I'd like to eventually move out with my girlfriend to like Astoria or something in like 1.5-2 years while I continue to save. What I make now and what she makes is still going to have us struggling so I would like to change careers after I get like a year's worth of experience as a center manager. I'm wondering what kind of career I can shift into where I can make at least 75000 and if it would be possible to get a position in a bank since I figure it would be pretty cushy and have decent benefits.

The U.S. job market is fucking hell right now. You're better off staying where you are for a few years to get more experience and eventually moving into another management position somewhere else. You mention client services, so maybe something like a customer service manager might be worth considering in a few years. They tend to pay what you're looking for and they're plentiful since people hate working in customer service. It ultimately depends on what your responsibilities are, but generally banks like to hire people who are already working in the industry.

1 Walk into bank
2. Apply for job
3 repeat at next bank
4 and next
